What is the standard slope for System One games? I have Buck Rogers and 4 degrees is a bit much for the tilt bob.

#2577 5 years ago

BorgDog, thanks for the help. I never noticed the tilt ring was adjustable until you mentioned it.

Anyone know the part number that Buck Rogers uses for the nylon standoff's for attaching the boards to the backbox? I need to order a couple to replace some that broke.

The sound went out on my Buck Rogers machine when I turned it on today. I've had it for a couple of months without any other problems. Everything is original except for a Ni-Wumpf CPU board and the LED lights I put in. There still is the normal humming sound coming out of the speaker. I've check the 1 amp sound fuse in the bottom board and reseated J1 in the power supply, J1 in the sound board and J6 in the CPU board. Anything else I should check?

Still looking for some assistance with my problem. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix my game?

The pins look ok, so I'm seriously considering getting the all-in-one board since it has lots of cool features too.

#2724 5 years ago

Yeah, I'm already tracking that caveat. Glad it doesn't cost that much more for the sound card.

Replace caps on sound board yet?

Thanks for the suggestion. I ordered a capacitor kit from Big Daddy Enterprises. Too bad the shipping cost is almost 10x the cost of the kit, but it will be money well spent.

I recently added a Flippp P1-1x4 and sound add-on card to my Buck Rogers system 1 game and its been working great. I walked into my game room after the game was on for a couple of hours and all four of the score and status display led's are not working. I've reseated J1 on the Flippp board and cycled the power a bunch of times. Any suggestions on something else to check? All the backboard and playfield lights are working and the game starts up fine. I've checked all the fuses and they are fine. Also on the Flippp board, the 60/48/8v light is not lit.

It was the round fuse. Thanks for all the help! Now to pick up a couple of extra fuses...

Anyone know of a source of repair for a System 1 second generation sound board? My Buck Rogers board isn't play any sounds, but I do I a faint humming sound through the speaker.
