HI, not a club member yet, but I hope to this weekend with a Genie. I've never seen this era of Gottlieb machine so I'm not at all familiar with them particularly for transport. I'm wondering if the head comes off these sys 1 machines or do they at least fold down? It is full on winter here so it has to get covered up into the back of my pickup. I know it will be a heavy little piece of kit so will bring an assistant with strong back. Any tips would be appreciated. Does the backglass lift out too?

Well, it looks as though I will go and rescue a Genie this weekend.
This will require driving further into pin wasteland in a deep freeze of winter. It's friggen cold here, like almost -20f cold.

I've never seen or worked on a sys 80 before. I'm going to drive my pickup...I don't have a van or equivalent handy, so I wanted to disconnect the head and playfield at least to put in the back of the cab (crew cab tundra). Wondering what tools I will need to make this happen? I'd take lots of photos before unplugging any connectors. The machine has been dead for 10 years and acid damaged mpu. Definite order for pascal board after I get this heavy bastard in my game room.

Oh and the backglass is roasted but playfield is near mint , some very minor planking but I'd like to keep it that way, by trying to disconnect and put in the cab in backseat, but maybe the whole damn cab minus head would fit in the backseat? Hmmm

Confident I could remove the head no prob, but are play fields straight forward to remove on Genie?
