Wow! What happened to the price on the Polk PSW10? Bought one a year ago for about $80. Now they are pushing $225.

In short: decreased supply, increased demand, inflation.
But I do recall the retail price being around $179 or $199 with sale price being $79.
Already sold out.
I am curious, how does this compare with the also often recommended Klipsch R-12S that shows up on sale at Costco from time to time?
For that matter, does anyone have insight as to how it would compare with this "budget" (but still not cheap) subwoofer from Monoprice? I have both the Klipsch and the Monoprice, and in spite of the apparently similar specs, the two are night and day different, with the Monoprice not being able to match, even at full volume, the Klipsch's output when it's only at around 25%. The Klipsch just sounds better too, with a lot more detail.
I'm starting to think that the Monoprice sub is just a dud. But I have very little experience with subwoofers, only just recently finally having a space where it seemed like there might be a point to having one, and so I don't really know.
I have four subs, each were between $20-60 off of craigslist or FB marketplace. If you don't care about slightly used then you can save a ton of money.
Amazon is back on sale for $99!

I just ordered one, I'm looking forward to hearing the difference! My Godzilla machine sounds terrible with the low frequency distortion, I hope this will make it right.
Quoted from PoMC:$20 from Goodwill last weeks. Subs are very cheap if you keep an eye out for them used.

Though, apparently also very ugly.

Yeah, it’s quite a looker. I had it right up in front of the cabinet for the picture. All the way against the wall and you can’t see it.

It’s awesome on Godzilla.

Love your “wall paper”. What a fantastic idea. Hopefully you got them before all the hipsters made it cool to own albums again.
