Quoted from NYP:Dude, skip the text, we know what hot dogs, popcorn and soda are! Don't forget the colors of the game are mainly green and not to clash with those colors, work with colors already used in the game, and fonts for that matter. OK you owe me 2 cents, carry on ........
As I understand it, you will have the option to turn text on or off.
Quoted from jorro:Be carefull with your comments guys, OP will block you!
Trust me i know
wise words.
I agree as well. Theme integration is king especially with this classic game. This is far off the mark. But you sure did a nice job. Happy to see you at work again!
Quoted from fiberdude120:In general all these things happen so fast you dont have time for the animations. All this is going to do is make you dizzy and have lower scores at the end of the day.
Yes. Good call!
Plus, what 'spfxted' said above... "Hah! If yer gonna try to make EVERYONE happy, this thing will never get done".
But, it's a cool idea 'Rascal_H'!
Quoted from Soulrider911:I think all this work is really amazing. The detailed animations, the recreation of all the illustrative artwork, this is no small feat. However, I am wondering if having the screen be so animated at some many points in a given game could be overwhelming?
Ya, try playing The Hobbit! You need an over the shoulder spotter calling out commands. Awesome game though!
Molex with Trifuron crims are what I would use.
Added over 4 years ago:i meant crimps
Added over 4 years ago:A nice Trifurcon crimp tool goes for around $25.00 USD. IDC sucks!
Quoted from slicknick13:Meh, Its interesting to watch the progress, maybe it'll inspire others to tackle some hardware stuff. Shared info is not wasted.
I can understand the disappointment though. If I had a CFTBL, I would want this so bad. But it has been fun for me to watch this thread. His videos are awesome! Like you said.. I can't imagine this won't at least inspire somebody even if it doesn't get released. But I still find it hard to believe he won't release especially now that he has so much money invested and finally owns an actual CFTBL.
Quoted from zr11990:They gotta get their dirty drinking water somehow
Quoted from Bakerman:Hi,
With regard to the latest technical discussions I have come to believe that the firmware implementation is going to be a nightmare (I am a software and firmware engineer for realtime systems);
WOW! Thanks for chiming in! That makes total sense!
