Great work. Very interested for my Creature but I also do not understand the rotating cube as it does not fit with the game in any way.

Cheers.

Quoted from russdx:

Not a fan of the lazy pcb designs

What exactly do you see that is lazy? I have designed hundreds of pcb over 40 years in electronics and I don't really see anything lazy in his designs; they look very professional to me with a good level of explanatory text included on them and not too crammed, but not wasting space.

Just interested to see the designs through somelses eye's

I think that your eyes and screen resolution must be better than mine. I agree about autorouting not looking as good but nowadays it's all about the time. If the the finished design operates in a exactly the same matter customers just want the cheapest solution; manually or autorouted.

You are not trolling; just stating your opionin.

One man's lazy is another man's efficient.

Quoted from russdx:

If i was to design these boards id lay them out correctly.

They are correct, just not to your taste.

Quoted from russdx:

pinballSP goes around "Trolling" other peoples projects on this and other forums so i'm just returning the favor, it works both ways!

Please find something more positive to do with your time.

Quoted from Fifty:

But if we use this logic then it should be POPCORNS and COLAS

Err, no.

Please, please, please, for the love of god, after three years, show us something working and not just more videos.

Quoted from zr11990:

I just think he is going about it the wrong way. He should have the mod done, working and being tested for bugs before he spends time and money on the videos. And shit, it has been way too long. But Im not gonna bad mouth the guy.

I think that you just did.

Hi,
I have been following this since the start and it is one of my favorite threads. With regard to the latest technical discussions I have come to believe that the firmware implementation is going to be a nightmare (I am a software and firmware engineer for realtime systems); why?

1. By using an interpretation from the lamp matrix you will have to perfectly recreate the game logic. This is no small task, and any error will send the interpretation down the wrong path so that the incorrect videos will be played, or not played.

2. Any missed lamp signal will send the interpretation down the wrong path so that the incorrect videos will be played, or not played. Looking at https://dotsandloopspinball.com/lampmatrix/ it would seem that accurately using the lamps signals can be problematic.

3. How does this solution deal with how the Creature has been configurated? For example, level of difficultly, award configuration, number of balls, etc. Would this solution not need to know how the game has been configured to accurately recreate the game logic? For example when do you award an extra ball or a game credit.

I would love to see this work and will continue following.
