Starting the process of bringing back a Hokus Pokus that has seen some abuse.

The outhole switch is mangled beyond repair, does anyone know the part number so I can check to see if PBR has it?

The game has two different heights of posts. I have seen other games use two post heights but never mixed under the same plastic! If anyone can send me a good photo of the top side of their playfield or a “post map” so I can get this sorted out I Will appreciate it.

The previous owner also used wood and drywall screws on posts that went into t-nuts so most of those are stripped. I’ll have to replace a number of them. Is there a trick to removing t-nuts to avoid damaging the playfield?

Thanks

Hi Alberto,

I have some notes on that layout, since I have done 2 of those machines and I didn’t want to screw up where everything went. Unfortunately, I don’t know if my chicken scratches will be legible. The good news is that I have that game set up so I can take all the photos that you need. There is a combination of wood screws and machine screws into T-nuts on that game. I’m sorry to hear about the drywall screws, that’s a bummer.

Any info you might have on the post heights and where they go would be helpful, thanks. Right now I have plastics that are warped because of two different post heights under them.

My initial thought was to switch everything to the taller 1 1/16” posts, but I’d rather get the correct layout.

For example, the four rollovers guides and the small plastic at the top, I have a mix of short and tall posts under them. Which one is it?

Thanks

You will need at least 18 tall and 20 short. Mine also has 1 small solid red and 2 small clear red. Let me know when your ready and we can talk about where they go on the playfield

Let me know if this isn’t clear. I have other notes on the screws (machine thread, short wood screw, long wood screw).

The metal posts on the plastics use the long wood screws with the big pan heads. The posts under plastics are all short. The upper bank with the lane guides are all tall except for one that hides under the square plastic with the magician on it. The Greg Kmieck red post goes on the upper left near the ball gate. It’s not even on the playfield drawing, so I wrote it in.

Let me know if you need any other info.

Thanks so much for the photos and diagram, this info should let me straighten out the posts. I like the two clear red posts under the plastics for the spinners on the sides. I will have to make that change on mine.

Mine was setup different, here's a disassembly pic. The clear red post is on the outside of the red target, I think it was meant to compliment the red plastic shade over the bulb there.

My only gripe with this game is that the spinners block the awesome rabbit/birds artwork.

I’ve seen several different post setups in online photos. White, red, and yellow posts have all been featured.
