Quoted from CaptainNeo:If smaug blows real fire, i'll buy one, even if it stupidly priced at 8k.
Didn't see that coming.

Quoted from Skyemont:Will JJP be at ReplayFX at the end of the month?
Saturday, August 1, 2015 4:30pm: Jack Guarnieri, Jersey Jack Pinball Seminar – Hall 407
Jersey Jack Pinball was founded because of a need that Jack saw in the industry for premium, no-compromise pinball machines. Games built with passion and games that are fun to play which will become treasured for years to come.
The first game that Jersey Jack built is The Wizard of Oz Pinball Machine. The game is now in full production with their next game The Hobbit in the wings starting in early 2015. JJP is also very proud to announce the collaboration of their next machine with the legendary pinball designer Pat Lawlor.
Quoted from lowepg:They might want to tweak that PR release text....
It hasnt been "early 2015" for quite some time now
I just copied and pasted. Don't shot the messenger.
Quoted from lowepg:I know- that's why I said "they" and not "you" might want to update that quote
I forgot the
Quoted from vicjw66:The new investors have to be thinking about what the most profitable course of action is.
1. Halt production of WOZ to build 1500 or so Hobbits costing millions of dollars while taking in no money.
2. Continue building WOZ and taking in new money while putting off Hobbit production for as long as possible until preorder customers literally show up with their torches and pitchforks.
Hmm. What to do.......what to do?
3. Do what they did with WOZ, start out by releasing Standards to distributors with cash while preorders wait to build up cash flow.
Quoted from DaveH:4. Open up the second line that they have plenty of space for in the factory and build both.
Only if they have the man power. Has the second line ever been used?
Quoted from mnpinball:I was told tentative Nov 17th the line fires up.
I guess we see next week in 6 days if any new pics get posted...
Quoted from Aurich:I wish Hobbit wasn't so pricey. $8k entry price is pretty rich. But I hope it's not too far off that I can decided if I want to spend that and just get it a week later.
Really hoping there aren't all these delays and bullshit and games the second time around. That on top of the price would be a huge turnoff.
It's pretty close to the Stern NIB LE prices.
I have a feeling we won't see Hobbit's leaving the building for another few months. Just an opinion but I hope I'm wrong.
Quoted from Pinchroma:What do you consider heavy play? Certainly not 2-3,000 games.
What would be considered the ETA of a Hobbit machine to an owner?
Quoted from lordloss:I'll answer this.
Not a powercoating question, NEXT.
I was referring to the topic of the thread "Hobbit Update"
Why are we talking about powdercoating a shadow?
Next Question, when is the next Hobbit update coming?
Quoted from lordloss:I wish him or jack would say something, anything regarding actual timelines.
Me too.
Quoted from lordloss:I wish him or jack would say something, anything regarding actual timelines.
Me too.
I just like to know if they are still testing or is "actual" production started.
Friend of mine is in top 50. He was told mid March he should have his game which sounds promising but he was told early Dec a few months ago.
Quoted from koops:Did anyone purchase the replaceable decal "radcals" option?
Seeing that there is no side armour that covers around the flipper buttons so having a polycarb over the decals might actually protect them.
I didn't since it will be HUO. If I was going to route one I would consider it.
I would like to see exactly what the difference is between the ones on the game and the replaceable decals.
Quoted from vid1900:Let your wife play Stern Quicksliver and she will see how fast a widebody can be!
