I assume whichever "inlane" or "outline" the ball goes down will triger the "pop-up" that matches Org, Goblin, Spider, or Warg? Hope so.

Is it just me or do other people think that the reason why The Hobbit is looking better is because Pat Lawlor is having to clean up the design? I haven't read all the posts in the past few days, but after getting a good look at the playfield and seeing some video, The Hobbit is running kinda smooth. The left return wire ramp looks like there might be too much speed coming off it. Not too much of a big deal. Just wondering is Pat the one putting the finishing touches to clean up this pin or someone else? I know there has been a great deal of feedback from Pinside, but who is implementing it towards the actual game now that the original lead designer (Joe Balcer) is gone?
Does the apron light up and inform the player on modes/status? This was mention awhile back in an interview w/Jack, but I do not see it implemented in these protypes. Anyone know for sure or was it mentioned already that it got cut?
Quoted from kaneda:Here is my question for people waiting. Do you have other pinball machines in your house? If so, just play and enjoy them and don't stare at these update threads (that never have any updates). Sometimes it seems like we get so caught up on wanting news when we know there is none. That makes the wait 10x harder. But we do it to ourselves.

Came out the other day on NPR (don't know if it's been mentioned). Ian Mckellen's view on his voice in games and what he gets for it. On 33:00: http://www.npr.org/2015/07/20/424641957/at-76-actor-ian-mckellen-embodies-an-older-sherlock-in-mr-holmes
Quoted from Jvspin:So, why did I pre-order then?
I'm in it to help out a company make a pinball machine.
Yeah, there's a wait with pre-order and I could wait to buy a pinball machine used, but I figure my money is helping out JJP put things together. I might help out Spooky, too.
I give mad respect to WOZ pre-order people and figured it was my turn to put money towards the JJP project to help advance pinball as a whole. Plus, he's from Jersey..nuff said
Quoted from mesmashu:So if you hit them from the lower flippers they pop right back up and give you a very small score. But if you feed the upper flipper from the left orbit the drops stay down. Thoughts?
Joe Balcer talked about this at the Heighway party. Check out Pinballnews for the audio.

Quoted from mesmashu:I'm at work,
I'm at work too and I can't go to pinballnews b/c it's blocked.
