Updates Revealed at IAAPA:
In games at the show
+ Book LCD
+ Replaced VUK exit chutes with wireforms
+ Bumper enter/exit through Bag End (removed "Switch Mode" targets)
+ Laser etched Ramp lettering / RGB LEDs underneath
+ Smaug™ sculpt redesign
+ Gold pile in front of Smaug™
+ Columns, gold pile & lighting in upper left
+ Flasher lighting/domes (3 on left side, 3 on right side, 1 gold pile, 1 pop bumper)
+ New art on playfield plastics
+ Action button and RGB LED
+ New decals - arch, shooter, drops, ramps, spinners
+ 2 RGB LED Smaug™ lighting
+ Redesigned bumper barrels to accommodate book LCD

for what its worth, i am sticking with the Limited Edition. I like the characters on the side. The movie/book is about Bilbo and the Dwarfs adventure, not about the dragon. Don't get me wrong, the dragon looks great, but i like the characters better.

If it does, you can add a zero or 2, should be simple to code and not piss anyone off. Since code is pretty much the only thing that will be changing at this point, I'll settle for the option in an update later, that's fine.

Why? i guess i don't understand what the difference is? the score is subjective to the other scores on the game, not the scores on the games next to it. I think having a 1,000,000,000 score on AFM looks crazy on its own, but in the sense of the game itself (and the other scores relative to it), it fits fine.

if you ordered a Limited Edition it will come with the Red Smaug

if you ordered a Smaug Gold Edition then it will come with the Gold Smaug

you can order a replacement/additional Smaug in either color

Alex, while i appreciate you input on most things, i have been buying dodge products for 18 years now and have yet to have one catch on fire. i have owned

1 Dakota
1 Durango
6 Ram 1500
3 Ram 2500

all of these were purchased new and besides the normal wear and tear i have not had any major issues, but i digress.

Thanks for the hobbit pictures Joe. Hope to hear something big from Jack soon. Back on topic please.

great thing is that you can order a standard edition with stainless trim and not lose any of the toys/layout features.

there is a subway under the playfield. the hole by smaug and the hole by the pop bumbers lead to the vuk by the right flipper.
