Wasn't expecting the LCD to be tucked up in the corner like that. Interdesting.

Quoted from Captain_Kirk:Now that the book has moved to the back, shouldn't that third pop bumper be a barrel as well now? Would give the bumpers a more uniform appearance.
Or just move the one covered up by the book to the front pop instead? I think the original idea was to have the book lower, in front of the pops, so they only barreled the back two thinkging those would be the visible ones. But with the LCD further back, seems like you could just move the furthest barrel forward.
Quoted from aobrien5:I guess I'm the only one that like the old VUKs? Looked more finished than wireforms to me.
I'm not sold on the wireforms either (not that it matters, I'm not a buyer) - they're so bulky, that they're essentially the same as the metal tubes from before. I guess most people just think wireforms look more 'correct'.
Quoted from musketd:Anyone know if production started yet on HOBBIT?
They're still making WOZ, because they keep getting orders for WOZ, and that generates more money.
I played a few games early this morning at MGC. It's pretty fun to shoot. The lights on the pop-up monsters are a great touch. The lights in Smaug are nice, but not a big deal. I like the satisfying waves that go through the lights any time you hit a drop/target. The GI lighting is highly improved over WOZ which is nice. The LCD assets all look great, the score gives it a nice epic feel.
I hadn't played it before today, just watched others at other shows (expo, TPF) and I was a little surprised how much I liked it.
Quoted from Cheeks:What is the wireform on the far left just floating there next to the left lane return. I can't tell from any of the vids or pics if/how the ball would ever get on that.
Diverter on the left side wireform can pop it from the main return over to that one.
Quoted from Cheeks:Oh, is that to load the windlance? I assume when this happens that ball stop is there to hold the ball waiting for you to hit the center button? If not, then the ball just drains down the outlane which seems like it would suck.
Yeah, it holds in the outlane and you can launch it with the lockdown bar button.
Quoted from Aurich:QR codes! You know, for the kids.
This is still one of my favorite subtle Internet jokes: http://picturesofpeoplescanningqrcodes.tumblr.com
