Man, it feels like there was a big drop off in hype for the Hobbit after it released. Seems like they are still pretty scarce in the wild though. Maybe it will pick up after more people see them out of location?

Quoted from metahugh:It may feel a tad bit slower but I agree with the comment about the playfield being bigger so it can give you the impression of being bigger and slower. Those flippers can hit the ball with the same amount of force the Stern games can so the velocity of the ball is the same. Try stacking beast and Smaug multiballs at the same time and then tell me if you still think it's slow and boring!!
I'm looking at the amount of activity in the Ghostbusters thread (constantly on fire), the amount of machines out in the wild in our area (none on location yet from what I can tell) and then the Hobbit thread which has slowed considerably. Granted, Stern is much larger than JJP, but this is a big deal for JJP's 2nd game to be a hit and to be generating buzz.
I have no idea how it plays as I have never seen one in person so no judgments from me, but that will hopefully change after the PNW Arcade show in a couple weeks. Really interested in the game, but it is still hard to find out there.
