I have Hobbit Smaug, new to me, and one of the trap doors (upper left guy) seems to trap a ball now and then and the pop up time/strength seems really short and almost not happening now and then... Anyone with an idea how to remedy this? without calling my pinball guy! lol - Im new and not real good at the mechanics of these thing yet, but willing to give it try! thanks Curt

Does your game have the clear plastic guard between the character and the edge of the playfield ?

It mounts like this from the underside of the playfield. Two screws in the holes hold it in. Thin part goes up through the playfield. Flat side to front of the hole and curved side to the characters face.

Early games didn't have this, it was added in later.

No idea if JJP still has them if needed or if anybody 3D printed them.
