Hi all, anyone who could point me in a direction of fixing this?

Three days out of the box, all has worked flawless untill now.

Playing untill the game went out, screen, lights, just the transformer humming.

I turned it of, and found the switch wiring behind the pops was loose, and so close to the pop it probably shorted out during shaker moments.

Reconnected it, game starts up, plays, but almost half the switches now activate the bumpers... shooter lane, right in/outlanes , and more.

Means a ball one GC of 5 mil , on the plus side ..

Anyone got an idea of where to start?

Throw it in switch matrix test and see if you've got any switch ghosting or switches reading when you tap your fist on the playfield creating vibration. Pay very close attention to the switch named "pop bumper rubber" which is the one behind the band up there in the pop area - if that switch is triggering at all, that will fool the game into thinking that the ball is in the pop area and the bumpers will fire. Make sure that switch is working and is not being triggered by something else. You could have fried a diode along there and one switch triggering will "ghost" other switches. Get with JJP tech support if you need parts etc..

Thats the exact switch that has not worked since the start, I looked in the test report and thats the one which has lost the wire , but even when connected its not registering at all..

Yeah, diodes, electricall issues etc.. not my strongest point..;( but will try.

I've had same experience. No amount of adjusting will fix. Another Pinsider messaged me and said that a rubber came off and was activating. May be worth a try. I still can't figure my situation out...

This batch of switches is out.. all in the Black /grey J202-1drive9 . What that means, I have no idea, but I think someone surely has

All fuses are good, Unless there are more hidden ones ?

I've written down all switches that seem to either fire the pop up beasts, pop bumper , sling and wind lance coils.

all switches in the grey columns cause one or other coil to fire , so we're looking at plenty.. if anyone thinks that they have a clear view on a possible cause, fill me in.

I have no clue , and being outside of the us I'd prefer to be able to fix if possible seeing no hobbit replacement parts are around in Europe.

With some 'luck' , only the ic U003 has blown.
I don't know this system well enough to say that it is socketed or not.
Best contact distributor/supplier first before replacing parts.

Zaza has helped me walk through some electro 101 for starters..

Seems that the 70v of the coils "zapped' the switch matrix and caused some issues on the main board. ( this is the worst case scenario)

there are 2 mini 1A fuses hidden on there, of which one was blown. funny thing is the replacing the broken one in the other slot causes the start button and other things like spotlight not functioning, switching back the issue remains, so on the hunt for some of those, maybe they cannot work independently ?

anyway, big bummer, really want to explore this game asap!

What? Just bring it back? No excuse for that?!
That is how we blew the p-roc on the minion machine...if the high current touches the switch matrix, stuff fries.
Insane how close the switch is to that coil?

GK, I think the fuse blew because the diode D009 (blue circle) made a path from +70 to +12V.

In red circle the uln2803, obvious not on a socket but surface mount on PCB.
