Just got the call that mine is ready to ship. Hope to have it delivered sometime next week. Woot!

My LE is scheduled to be delivered today. Hopefully it arrives safe and sound and I can start playing it tonight. Much excite.
My Hobbit as delivered today. Yay!!! I did notice that the box was caved in a little near the bottom on one side. The delivery guy from R&L was very helpful in helping me lay the machine down so I could open the bottom and check for any damage. The caved in part was the empty space below the head, so no damage. The glass was intact and the playfield looked like it was in proper position. Next step is getting it set up.
I managed to get it all set up with the help of my wife and four friends. I learned that if you are going to use the $30 handtruck that you bought at Menard's a year ago, you should make sure that the tires are filled before putting 350lbs on it. We managed to get it up onto my porch with the flat tires, but figured that we should fill the tires before trying to make it over the big step into my front door. Of course, one of the tires had the valve stem pushed in at a weird angle so I could not attach it to end of the pump hose. But we had five guys, so we figured that we could just carry it in the rest of the way, since it was going into my office 10 feet from the front door. Damn that thing is heavy. Ended up setting it on a rug and sliding it across the floor to my office. Set up was pretty painless after that, though my back hates me now. Maybe those pinball lifts are actually worth it.
Quoted from EricHadley:The Hobbit is awesome! Sadly mine has been down for 10 days The motherboard power supply stopped working, but happily the replacement shipped yesterday! I should be up and running this weekend
Yeah I've been in the same boat with a bad power supply. The replacement arrives today so I should be able to get it installed this evening. Hopefully that was the issue and I can start playing again. Fingers crossed.
Last night I was going to finally fix an issue that I have had with my Hobbit since day one, which was that the Warg and Orc do not register hits from behind. I spoke with Victor at JJP a few weeks ago and he said that I need to pull the beast head forward while it is up and gently adjust the rear switch. I saw what I think is the switch, but I cannot see how to adjust it. Does anyone here know how to do this and could give me more detail on what exactly I need to do? A picture would be great. Thanks.

Sweet! Great to see more Hobbit's in WI.
One of the beast mechs on my machine has stopped popping up in game. I've had issues with it only popping up partway and then fully going up a second later from time to time, but never could figure out why. Now recently the mech won't pop up at all. I lifted the playfield and there are no wires or anything preventing it from going up. I do feel a lot of friction internally when moving that mech up and down compared to the others. I also noticed that I can move the shaft side to side more compared to the others, which leads me to believe that something is loose internally. The nut at the end of the shaft on that mech is not tight, the shaft spins with it. The nuts on the other three don't move so I'm guessing that need to be tightened? Am I on the right track or any other ideas? Thanks.
Quoted from LTG:I'd remove the mech from the game and spend a lot of time adjusting, loosening, tightening, the brackets holding everything until it goes up and down smoothly.
LTG : )
Thanks for the info. Do I remove the mech by taking out the four screws holding it to the bottom of the playfield? I ask because I've had bad luck stripping out screws when replacing them in wood.
