I just received word that my NIB Hobbit (Black arrow) will arrive to the new apartment this Friday!! I know I could have shopped around and found a solid deal that would have cost me less than a NIB, however I been out of the scene for a bit and my last NIB was a Transformer LE! I was willing to pay a small\large premium to get gain the experience of another NIB. I am like a kid at Christmas and can NOT wait!! Next pin which I will have to shop around for will be a WOZ

Quoted from pinballinreno:

The black arrow version is awesome! It really makes a statement. Totally matches the theme.
You are going to love this game.

It's so funny as the hobbit was the last pin I thought I would fall in love with. As with the ones that understand the theme, music and video pulled me in. I actually loved playing multiplayer as I enjoyed being able to spend time watching the screen! Definitely a keep for me for some time to come.

Have any of you had challenges around the ball getting stuck in the right side drop targets (please see pictures below)!
It happens more than I would have thought and liked....

Quoted from Ranhorton:

I’m actually quite surprised Hobbit has lost some value. It may not be jam packed with toys/gimmicks but it is overflowing with quality, reliability and things to accomplish during each game. And the code keeps getting better!
So proud to call it my first NIB and my family’s favorite.

I could not have said it best myself as I just wrapped up a game and every time I walk away wanting more and loving it. I am able to play it differently every time!

Hey Loyd...If I submit a support form via the JJP website could you make sure I get a call back? Haven't had much luck with this route in the past.

I would call as I received exceptional support form JJP in the past when I called! I had a similar issue and one thing that helped was resetting the motherboard by taking a Flathead screwdriver and touching the correct pins. I am heading to a work event however when I get back I can send you pictures of how to do this if you need it.

Quoted from TomN:

That would be helpful...Thanks.
I did call and leave a message with someone. Hopefully they call me back at some point.

Trying to locate the picture as I believe Frank Becker (who fucking rocks!!!) texted it to me as I had a out of the box issue with no video and they worked with me for a good amount of time until it was resolved. I will keep looking however I would contact him and ask for the picts for resetting the CPU. It helped me, however in the end we ended up replacing the Mother board, Power supply and monitor. Been working like a champ and with 3.0 installed tonight I love this game and am a fan of JJP as a company.

I believe this has been answered however I am having trouble finding the actual suggested solution. With my hobbit if I make a clean solid shot to the left ramp it 95% of the time flies off the rails when it hits what I believe is the first bend on its way to the flippers. I have taken down the power of the flipper solenoid however if a clean shot is made and it even has a little bit of speed behind it, it will not make it to the flipper before falling off.

Has anyone experienced this and if so how did you correct it? Do I need to bend part of the rail up?

Any thoughts and ideas are appreciated.

Quoted from Rondogg:

Either increase the height of the back legs or use duct tape on the ramp (after the entrance) to slow the ball down. There is also a newer ramp for Hobbit but not sure if that prevents the ball from flying off. I think it does. Where does it fly off?

I will take a pic when I get home however to best explain it when the ball takes the left ramp it then hits the habitrail from the ramp, once on the habitrail when it hits the first bend ot launches off. I will post pics tonight of exact location.
