Holy sh*t! This game keeps getting better and better. Definitely not in the "one quick game" type category... the games seem as long as the movies. Just watching the video wore me out. Maybe extra balls should be limited as it seemed like ten balls were played.

Always seemed to have some feature running also... if I didn't have LOTR I'd be lusting after one of these monsters. Don't they weigh 350 lbs?

Isn't that an old Dokken song?

#770 7 years ago

Damn that is a lot to have to do. I remember the old time mutiballs... they had really only one rule "keep balls in play". lol

Well you have Lloyd in your corner for this title... can't get better than that if you have an issue.

Don't the four "beasts" have mylar completely around them from the factory like the trolls in MM?

Quoted from Meph:

That's where your mind went with that post? If that's what I actually wrote then I could understand, but you had to go out of your way to edit to get there. You need to get out more

Hey I LIKE where his mind went. Most entertaining post here 'course I DO need to get out more...

Don't go there! Lloyd's too classy to indulge in such tawdry double entendres

Quoted from pinballinreno:

Try as I may, under pressure the Warg is impossible to hit at times...for me.

Don't feel bad. Under pressure I find damn near *everything* hard to hit.

Quoted from FlippyD:

They add to the excitement!
I'm wondering if anyone has tried putting sound deadening foam inside the cabinet to see how it would affect the noise?

May not do much. My TSPP is stuffed with foam as I got tired of clickity-clack of all five flippers. Unfortunately the PF itself acts like a sound board and resonates the sound upward so the results were not nearly as dramatic as I had hoped.

It HAS provided some unintended comic relief though. I forget I did the foam job on it so every time I open the coin door I stare inside slack jawed for a moment thinking "wtf IS all this stuff?"

Quoted from KingBW:

We've only had our Hobbit setup for a few weeks now and it's very addicting. Been playing it almost every day, learning the rules and strategies. I got grand champion on 2 consecutive games yesterday (highest just over 2 million now), so I'm getting there. My son was surprised that my wife and I don't know the storyline to understand some of what is going on - we never saw the movies, but love the game. For Christmas my son bought us the blue ray DVDs of the trilogy. Very thoughtful, but he unknowing is feeding the addiction. We will be watching the movies tomorrow to get a better understanding. That's strange ... watching a movie trilogy to understand a pinball game better. I guess we ARE weird like my kids claim.

Maybe not THAT weird. I did the same thing with TWD. Bought the machine and THEN a couple weeks later binge watched all six seasons on Netflix.
At least we got our games for the right reason (gameplay)...

Quoted from TouchingEvil:

One question, in this video right at the start is a melody that is so so good, is it in the game ?
» YouTube video

I suspect you'll hear that one in SR's Elvis game
