Quoted from iceman44:I don't understand this at all.
I love Keith code and am sure it will be superior, but, WHY isn't the code farther along today?
Wtf is going on? Keith and Ted are full time employees right?
Haven't had enough time? I don't get it.
Yeah, I have thought about this as well. There really is no reason why the machine wouldn't be very close to being finished regardless of how deep the code is. I know they have said its got 31 modes, all with its own rules, LCD animations, etc....but still.
If they can pump out updates once a month then there was no way they touched hobbit software for at least a year before it came out. Maybe they where contracted and not working at all? I don't know.
It's either that or maybe its a weird marketing tactic? Keep updating once a month for 12 months and a game announced almost 4 years ago is consistently being talked about.
If it came out complete (kind of like ghostbusters) then I guess people would sell them if they didn't like it? If they don't like it but there are many updates to come then it slows down the second hand market? I am currently in that position with AMH, don't think its a keeper but will wait for the final update.
Bit far fetched but without 1 of those 2 excuses it doesn't make sense.
