I just scored a Hit the Deck today. Playfield looks really good. Backglass is awful. The cabinet paint is flaking off, so it will need to be redone. Does anyone have any cabinet stencils they would like to sell?
Let me know.
Thanks
Dave

Quoted from Ronnie1114:There was a guy selling a decent framed backglass on here recently.
I just picked it up from BigDaddy
I know someone that can make stencils. I have a Neptune that he can use to make the stencil . Not sure what he would charge. PM me if you would like his contact info.
I was able to redraw/trace the graphics from these pictures in my computer. Then create a tool path and cut out a stencil on a CNC router. They came out sweet.
Quoted from boilerman:looks fantastic .. what are the color codes? and paint type?
I used 2 coats of white primer, then lightly sanded. My base coat is out of a spray can. I used Rust-oleum Satin Lagoon. I did use 3 cans for the cabinet and head. Then I used the brush you told me to buy for the splatter look. Lastley I did a gloss yellow and gloss orange. I got really nice coverage, the key is light coats and lots of drying time. Im happy with the outcome. IMG_6287.JPG
oops that first can on the left of my picture is the wrong can.....I didnt use the Herloom White. I used a Primer white. Sorry
Great job !

Looks great.
How did you deal with the missing layer of wood on the fron of the back box.
I have the same issue on my wedgehead

I had a few of the broken pieces that I glued back in place, then used wood putty for the rest of the fill in. Sanded, putty, sanded, putty etc..

I had a GTB High Hand where the face of the backbox was badly delaminated & found it preferable just to remove the front face and cut out a new ply face & affix. It gave a good result.

Ive been replacing the front faces as well on the wedgies with delamination. I have a woodworking pin buddy that will do it for $50 and the results are fantastic. Here's two redo's.
Quoted from jodini:WOW! That looks amazing! Nicely done! Now don't be putting that thing on ebay
For sure NOT going on Ebay! Its a keeper..
I could never understand why they have a rainbow trout on the side of the cabinet. Not a fish King Neptune would be familiar with.
It's a cool game for sure! I got a chance to play it when it came thru Pinball Past in Omaha. It sold fast!

St Lawrence seaway?
I've painted a lot of my own pinball cabinets, but I'd've fallen on my sword before I went anywhere near your Hit the Deck. Very brave, nicely done!
Quoted from dtown:LED'd. We can tell. Looks awesome. Don't let any hater's bother you.
Yes, they are LED's. Its all good. I did take the colored pop bumper led's out. I put the white color back in. Looks much better I think.

I believe it is a king salmon not a trout
they kind of look the same
both are kings so that is what they were shooting for
since this is an active HtD thread i"ll ask a question here.
i am starting working on my HtD and found two rouge wires on the underside of the pf.
they are up by the PB one is green/black the other is white/black
see picture
anyone with one could take a quick look and tell me where they go.
i looked to find anything within the wires reach and i don't see anything.
the double white/black was taped the green/black was not
the only thing i see i the area that is odd is the center PB only has one set of contacts
on the down stroke unlike the two outer ones have 2 sets on the down stroke.

I will snap a picture of mine this evening when I get home.
Quoted from pinhead52:Any chance to get another copy of the stencils
Im waiting on my buddy Wade to give me a price and/or to tell me if he will do another set....sorry for the delay

Aren't they from the pop bumper coils ?
The coills are missing in the picture you posted . Did you remove the coils? or had they already been removed ?
coils are wired and were moved out of the way to adjust the spoon switches

i might be interested in a set if they are priced right

This is kinda Wade Krause's department. Price and willingness to cut them is totally up to him. I know you know Wade so maybe contact him....My artfiles and time I took to recreate them are free. Wade has some hard costs in cutting the material and they are very delicate.

Oh, this rings a bell.
From memory all HTD games have this. The wires don't go anywhere.
My game does.
