My High-Speed will power on, but that is it. Lights turn on, I hear a light hum in the speakers, and every few times It will beep. But that is all. Display shows only: ********* *********

A similar issue occurred with my Freddy about a year back, it was just a fuse. Didn't have time to hit it with the voltmeter today, but I snagged a few quick pictures. If anyone has any help it would be appreciated.

First, remove and test all the fuses. If good, open the backbox light panel and turn on the power again. Look at the small display on the CPU board and see what it says. You will either see a number or nothing at all.

Have the batteries leaked?

This boot strategy holds true for most Williams Pinball games...

1.You should remove your batteries no matter what-even if they are new.

2.Now, turn the game ON like in your video...

3.Leave it on for a few seconds (like 3-5).

4.Now, while it is ON, turn it off and on again very quickly as fast as you can... like click-click.

If the game then powers on to "attract" mode, you have a battery holder/dead or defective batteries issue.

In the video I hear a "click HUMMMMMMMMM". Sounds like a froozen electric motor ready to trip a breaker. Is the hum from the speaker or transformer? Does/did it all ways do that or just start when it failed to boot up?

I was on vacation for a week, so tomorrow I plan to get to work on this.

From what I can tell, the hum is from the speaker.

Will check the batteries first thing.

UPDATE: It was the U25 chip, took it out, took batteries out. Reinstalled everything, and it boots fine now!

But, as with everything - with one fix come another problem.

I can get the game to start. but there is a crutial issue.

All of the bottom selenoids wont fire. The Ball Save Kicker, The Outhole, and the one that hits the ball into the track. Seems like a blown fuse, will check tomorrow. But again, if anyone knows of a known solution, or even the # fuse these operate on (save me some time) - Chime in!

I got the kit specifically for my High Speed from this vendor>>http://www.actionpinball.com/fusekit_contents.htm#fkwmssys11

Every fuse for the game comes in this fuse kit.

She's back up and running!

The sound cuts out intermittently though - This happened before it went down - Havent gotten to the bottom of it.
