Putting my HS back together after an extensive shop job. However, I'm having 2 possibly related problems.

1) the left and right coils that fire the ball out from hideout, plus the kickback are not firing. In the coil test, I can hear the relay kicking in, but the coils do not fire. Tested with the multimeter, there is power at the lugs.

2) the flippers are not working. They were working just fine and dandy, then I decided to change out the cabinet flipper switches and they no longer work.

Any ideas? Not sure where I should be looking. I'll note that other coils are working fine (trough kickout, pop bumpers, flashers, etc.)

Check for 50V at the coils. The hideout kickers and the flippers are 50V. The rest of the coils, including the relays, are 25V.

Not sure, but check if there is seperate fuse for these coils since they are a different volt. If so, pull fuse and check with a dmm.

Can't remember but I think they were all around 37V. I'll check tomorrow.

Yeah, you never know. Pop bumper and both slings would not fire on my F-14, all other coils worked. Was just a fuse.

Get it fixed for tomorrow's golf outting.

With changing the flipper switches, I know I've run into an issue where the new ones didn't work as well as the old ones. I don't know if they need to be primed somehow, but maybe rub the contacts together a little in case there's some oxidation or something that's built up there?

Confirmed, all of the coils that are not working are at 38V. Can anyone else confirm that they are supposed to be 50V?

I know what you mean--for some reason any time I buy new switches they need burnished or cleaned before they work properly. Not the problem here though.

Goddammit--it was a fuse. I swear I checked all of them before posting! Oh well, thanks for the help!
