Just because you replaced the batteries don’t assume that’s not the problem. Get a voltmeter and confirm the holder is actually good. A bad connection on the holder terminals is the leading cause of system 11 game settings retention failure.

The diagnostic switches not working is a completely separate issue. Look at the connector in the lower left of the head, it’s the connector that runs to the coin door buttons. Also confirm the coin door harness plug is firmly connected, they tend to get corroded and dirty.

If you don’t have a voltmeter, you are going to be limited to what you can actually test.

You likely have a blown solenoid fuse. There are separate fuses for flippers and all other solenoids on the playfield. See if any other solenoids work during game play mode.

Grab a voltmeter and check your fuses. If you find a bad one, show which one here before you replace it. It will probably blow again if you don’t address the issue that cAused the blown fuse.
