Had my High Speed pin for a while and it is need of a good cleaning and some repairs. Want to upgrade all lights to LED's. I have seen post with folks saying what kind of LED's they used, but my question is it really just as easy as taking the old bulb out and putting LED's in? Didn't know if I would need to do any other changes. Thanks. This is my first go at diving into a pin.

That's it, pinball led's just fit into the sockets like the incandescent bulbs. On a High Speed you will have to remove the plastics and the ramps to change out all the general illumination bulbs above the playfield.

Yup. As mentioned above its a simple plug n play. Do note led flashers wi'll stay on all the time without modifications. I wouldn't recommend that mod for flashers to work for beginners though.

We have a kit for this game as well to check out http://www.pinballbulbs.com/products/high-speed-pinball-ultimate-led-lighting-kit

Thanks for the help. Silly question regarding the flashers not flashing. What is the difference between flashers and non flashers? They all flash....... don't they?

Functionally of the bulbs, nothing. I have them in my landscape lighting always on daily.

Does High Speed require non-ghosting LED's?

It should not need non ghosting.

I'm running regular LEDs in entire game with no ghosting.

Flashers are a different story though. I went back to the stock flasher bulbs.

There is a whole thread about removing the warming resistors that fixes that problem.
