The high speed im working on will occasionaly kick out 2 balls instead of 1. The switches appear to be adjusted correctly. Any ideas on what would cause this? If the shooter lane switch doesnt close right away, would it kick out a second ball?

check the 3rd ball in the trough switch. The machine thinks 3 balls are in the trough as opposed to 1 in the shooter lane.
First thing I'd check is the arm that kicks the ball from the ball trough to the shooter lane may be hitting the arm of the last switch in the ball trough. If it's the least little bit close, bend them apart.
LTG : )
Make sure all balls are the same size. If one of them is a tilt ball and a little smaller this can happen too.
I would agree with cheking the third trough switch. The one closest to the flippers. Sounds like it may be getting stuck closed causing the game to think three balls are still in the trough.
Thanks for all the replies, ill check that switch in just a min. Switch test was all good, which made me think something sticking.
