What's going on with the leg bolts - are those white rubber rings? To avoid scratching the legs or what?

I've never seen that so I just wondered if I was missing some cool trick you old pros use....

Aha OK thanks beatmaster - for a couple dollars it seems like cheap protection for those beautiful powder-coated legs.
