My space shuttle has a couple of inserts with that kind of cracking. I plan on dimming them substantially when I get my Ledocd to minimize the effect.

Sorry for the silence. this is the exact one I used. I started with medium until the groove was gone and then finished with the fine. Took about 40 minutes on medium and another 15 on fine to do all of the guides on Space Shuttle. I also did the lane guides by the drain and the ball gate up by USA.

I just rebuilt my HS flippers using the newer style return springs and it is night and day. The ball just launches off of them. I bought 3 new bases with everything but the coil, sleeve and capacitor from action pinball for $31 each

The caps help arrest the spark from the eos switches. It doesn't add power but preserves the life and power of the new switch

there's a relay next to the beacon and an identical one under the playfield next to the kickback. SWap those and if it fixes the problem you need a new relay

There's a thread here on pinside somewhere but the gist of it was:

Sand down your existing playfield
Clear the playfield
Put down the overlay

Unless you can spray the clear cheaply it's not much cheaper than a repro.

I've got one you can have cheap. Its used and a little yellowed. I don't need it with the clear ramp. Shoot me a pm.

test the bulbs in different sockets. If the bulbs are good then check the sockets and the wiring. Some flashers are in series and must all be good for any of them to work.

when I repaired my dome it wouldn't turn (although it would light). I swapped the relay with the one under the playfield for the kickback and they both worked after. You can try this to rule out the relay.
