I guess I hadn't played her in a couple of months (more like 6) and she got mad at me. Flipped the switch and she responded with Adjust Failure in the Player 1/2 displays.

It is a ~1986 High Speed s/n 514 I bought it in Dallas in 1989. Gets play from the grandkids, mostly.

Try replacing the three AA batteries.

Replace the batteries.

After you replace the batteries like everyone says you will still probably get the error.

First, make sure they are not so old they did not leak. If they did you may have larger issues.

Assuming you got to them in time and put in fresh ones the first thing you want to do is use the button in the coin door to get it into service mode. You will want to go through the settings and set Free Play to Yes.

For specifics either look it up by searching, download the manual or write back. But I believe you need to go into the test mode and exit again for the adjustment error to go away when you turn on the game. Most people do not get this because they change the batteries with the game on to save the settings and high scores.

Taxman, walked thru the menu to item 23: Free Play.... BUT I could not get Yes/No to come up. I pressed the credit button, no change in display: Free Play I know I'm not doing something, but I can't determine what it is. Any suggestions? BTW the Credit button works because I put in a quarter and press the credit button and (good news) a game started. I stopped the process there and turn off and back on. Another fault appeared, Speeder 4 display does not light up????????

Did adjust failure come back up?
