I am planning on restoring the playfield for my High Speed this summer. I am collecting parts and knowledge right now. I restored the cabinet and head about 5 years ago, and it's near perfect. Now comes the playfield.

I was sent the artwork for the top, and want to do a reprint, not a mylar overlay. My understanding is once I remove all the parts from the playfield, I send the playfield away, and the guy will run it through a thickness planer to shave off 1/32 and make the top perfectly smooth, then reprint. I forget that company that does this - will check my emails. If you have any suggestions for people that do reprints please comment.

So far I have almost all the parts I need except a few playfield plastics. I see I can buy them online but I'm holding off until I get the right ones at a good price.

What are good forums and things I should read and know before beginning this project?

I would really like to know the company that offers this. I've never heard of a company reprinting on a old playfield.

I remember reading about someone trying this process years ago, and it worked somewhat but was never marketable. Did they (or someone else) finally figure it out?

CPR did High Speed playfields a while back, it might just be easier to track one of those down.
