Quoted from Yoeddy:

Hey guys,
I just ordered and installed a new Stern plunger assy from Marco. This has the Stern green spring in it, but it doesn’t really help with power compared to the old one. The ball makes it into the roulette wheel ok, but it doesn’t spin around in it as much as Ive seen on some YouTube vids.
Is there a different spring that would give it a bit more power that you all could recommend?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Jason

When the ball is ejected and about to be plunged, is it bouncing on the shooter tip? If it is, that might be an issue. I installed an extra washer on my shooter rod to get it to sit back a bit so that the ball would rest on the plunger fork directly. That boosted the performance of my auto plunge. Good luck!

Where did you put the extra washer? My old one only had one washer. The new one has 3. According the manual, 3 appears to be right.
Not sure what you mean by bouncing on the shooter tip. Is there some sort of adjustment?
Thanks,

by "bouncing", I mean when the ball gets ejected from the trough, instead of just falling to and only touching the fork, it touches the rubber shooter tip and will "bounce" a bit.

My extra washer goes by number 6 on the picture. I think there is one there by default, I just added another. Not sure if this is a "textbook" fix, but it worked for me.

So is the rubber tip supposed to be touching the pinball when it’s sitting idle? Or should it be not touching?
Thanks,
Jason

The rubber tip should not be touching the ball when it's sitting idle. Obviously, it should be very close, but for the best performance (at least in my experience), it should not be touching.
