When the ball is ejected and about to be plunged, is it bouncing on the shooter tip? If it is, that might be an issue. I installed an extra washer on my shooter rod to get it to sit back a bit so that the ball would rest on the plunger fork directly. That boosted the performance of my auto plunge. Good luck!

by "bouncing", I mean when the ball gets ejected from the trough, instead of just falling to and only touching the fork, it touches the rubber shooter tip and will "bounce" a bit.

My extra washer goes by number 6 on the picture. I think there is one there by default, I just added another. Not sure if this is a "textbook" fix, but it worked for me.

The rubber tip should not be touching the ball when it's sitting idle. Obviously, it should be very close, but for the best performance (at least in my experience), it should not be touching.
