Hey guys,

One other head scratcher that recently crept up on my HRC. Ball one I use the plunger…like it should be with all balls. I play, ball goes down the chute, and it’s time for ball 2. Ball 2 gets ejected, but instead of using the plunger, it gets auto launched. What the hell?

So what could cause that? I did a factory reset, but it’s still happening. Diag/switch results don’t show any failures or parts that require attention.

Ideas?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Jason

When I had strange problems like that, not the same exact problem though, it was caused by my balls being magnetized which was causing the balls to behave strangely in the trough. Maybe try some fresh balls?

There could be a switch on the playfield that is activating causing the shooter lane to auto launch the ball. Put the game into switch test and pound on the playfield in various areas and see if any switches fire.

Went ahead and demagnetized the balls with my degaussing coil. Not sure if this had anything to with it, but I was also chasing some gremlins in my drop target bank, that I just resolved.

Not sure if one helped resolve the other, but my machine seems to be back to normal now.

Thanks for the help guys!
