Quoted from Pinchroma:LE has a plastic apron? Disappointed.
I'm sure the Modders aren't. Someone will make one.

Quoted from Pinchroma:LE has a plastic apron? Disappointed.

Quoted from DCFAN:Did Austin Powers have a plastic apron? I don't think so:

Looks like plastic.
Quoted from RobT:Don't know, but either way your attempt to make Stern look cheap by putting the plastic apron on there when AP had a metal one just fell flat on its face.
OMG! I think RFM and SWE1 had plastic aprons as well. No! Nooooooooooooo!!!!!!!
Carl! Carl! Coral!!!!!!!!!
DCFan. Look at the Flowers!
Just Kidding.
Quoted from DCFAN:I don't believe I have never seen a Data East or Pinball 2000 in person so I would not know.
What the heck is "Carl! Carl! Coral!!!!!!!!!"
That's just me trying to be funny. When Rick calls for Carl he starts scream Carl's name.
image-234.jpgQuoted from Pinchroma:Did it really? Weak. My premium had a metal apron.
I just looked at my ACDC Premium and mine has a black PLASTIC apron
Quoted from gweempose:That's because Stern has very cleverly convinced you that you need one ASAP!
That didn't happen to me with Avengers.
Quoted from Chambahz:No, WE convinced Stern that we need one ASAP.
They're just going their duty as responsible pinball manufacturers.
This^^^^^^
I have been debating getting a LE vs the pro. I have a LE on order but don't know if I can justify the priced if fence between the two models. Help me decide.
Quoted from QuarterGrabber:I am usually a Pro guy because as of late all the Stern LE models had very little difference from the Pro model, especially Star Trek, they were almost identical. But in the case of TWD I am going LE for the first time because there are huge differences.
1) moving ramp and bash toy
2) extra magnet
3) crossbow and Fire button
4) Spinners on left orbit and on shot to reload shooter lane
5) Drop target on shot to shooter lane
6) Well walker bash toy opens up and exposes guts
7) colour changing gameplay interactive GI and inserts
8 ) According to feature matrix, Pro does not have the shot that reloads shooter lane
9) Beautiful mirrored backglass
10) coloured armor package with lollipop rails
11) Governor Fish Tank/Zombie heads
Quoted from Squizz:There must be more within cellblock C other than a Zombie head to bash.
To much realestate under the roof. hmm
I think Stern would have put that it locked balls in the matrix. I wish it did but I highly doubt there is any physical ball lock on the game.
Quoted from 27dnast:This is the third machine we've seen pictures of powered on... we've even seen pictures under the play field and up close shots of the bottom side of the star rollovers.
Someone, for the love all that is good in the world, take a video and capture audio!!!!!
I think it is a conspiracy.
Quoted from RobT:Time for me to back out of TWD LE.
Luckily I have not yet sent in any money.
Quoted from DCFAN:It is just the shots being located in the same locations between Tron and Walking Dead. That does not mean the same things happen in each shot, only that they are shot paths similarly located. Pascal is the one that brought it up.
I feel ya. I see the similarities in the layout.
Quoted from pascal-pinball:These pictures are from a private forum.
I am not in Amsterdam and I am not taking those pictures.
If I was there I was making movies from that pin for you guys right now!
As soon as there are better pictures or a movie I will post it here.
sorry guys...
No worries. Thanks for posting them.
Quoted from nd4spd:Correct, the head moves from side to side.
If it moves left to right doesn't there have to be a hole in the playfield for it to move. I don't see one in any pics.
Quoted from nd4spd:As per Stern's TWD Matrix PDF:
"Cell Block C" interactive prison building with mechanically actuated target doors
Walker bash toy target inside "Cell Block C"
Right. The doors open and there is the bash toy.
Quoted from Plungemaster:No code? Just..... nothing....
LMAO!!!
Well that is promising.
Look at the flowers.....
Quoted from jiffy:This is beta code, yes?
Yes it is 1.0. Look on Stern's website. Every game gets revised and stuff added.
May take a while to get finished though.
Quoted from nd4spd:Know where I can download it from?
I was generalizing. It's not finished code was what I meant.
Quoted from Aurich:I had zero intention of buying this game right away, and frankly nothing was going to change that. I've spent a ton of money on Stern pins recently, no game is going to get me to open my wallet that wide right now, I need a break. So I'm a fan of Stern games, I'm a fan of Borg + Lyman, but I'm pretty impartial on this one. I don't watch the show, and I have no money on the line.
I'm watching the cycle on Pinside do that same old dance. People beg for the theme. The rumors fly. It's released. People are excited. And Stern didn't hold back on this one, no crap photoshopping, lots of gore, you can't fault them for hitting the right notes.
Then there's the chorus of "where's the video?"
Then the first crappy (no offense to anyone who took them, I know you did the best you could under the circumstances) videos surface and people start getting cold feet. The doubts come out.
The code is early, it's raw, there's something that isn't right. The Well Zombie isn't the right zombie. The pops are too much. We can't hear the sound, but man it sucks anyways.
It's all so familiar. Anyone who bought Metallica knows it. Anyone who bought Star Trek knows it. (Did anyone buy Mustang? I troll, I troll!) This is how it is. Stern is what it is, this is how they work.
I guess all I'm saying is, be patient. This is the dance, we all know the steps, but you gotta let the music play anyways. If you're in on the LE and can't afford to be patient, well, it's just the price you pay. Your pin is going to ship unfinished, and with issues. It just will. It might take 8 months or a year to really shine. I'm confident it will, because Lyman is The Man™. Borg knows how to lay out a game, and if it feels like Tron or Metallica (or X-Men) then don't trip, because the code will make it different, and the small differences will mean it's not the same game. Star Trek isn't Spider-Man.
Stern is far from perfect. They do a lot to make you gnash your teeth. But they make great games still. And they have way more hits than misses these days. You just have to give them time to let the process play out.
Well said.
