Showing up to a party being the only girl... - Imgur.gifWelcome to the asylum, PinFatale! It is a very friendly little nut house we have here. There are a few trolls living in the basement, but they are easy to spot. Pinball is all about fun and there is plenty to be had here.
Ok, thread re-opened. With all the spam and troll accounts lately, we are being pretty strict on duplicate accounts. However, I met Ms PinFatale in person at Free Play Florida and can vouch that she is real, the girlfriend of a Pinsider (which is why the accounts match exactly and looked initially suspicious,) and very nice. I personally asked her to join here since we have very fee pinball-loving girls around, so you guys be nice to her.
I think this should pretty much cover it, in every possible language.

btw, nice meeting you MustangPaul at FPF. I believe I met PinFatale as well.
Welcome.
Hi, my name is tank and i'm a pinhead from orlando too i was also at the free play florida festival and had an AWESOME time there!

Lmao. So true.
We just had our first female technician start in the shop a few weeks ago. She's cool with us. Which makes everything work. If she played the victim card in a garage full of male techs and a sexist line foreman (you're welcome ladies!) , then everything would be much more tense.
So far so cool.

I credit Nate Shivers for the observation, ever since he said it on his PAPA 17 podcast it's all I see.
Quoted from Darkwing:A real girl?!? Awww geez guys I never know what to say to them.
They're as scared of you as you are of them. No worries.
My preffered method of interaction:
Hey Baby! Your face, I dig that shit! Awww yeah....
Quoted from NextoPin:I credit Nate Shivers for the observation, ever since he said it on his PAPA 17 podcast it's all I see.
I think Don & Jeff (the Pinball Podcast) made the same statement as well. Guys, change the wardrobe up every once in awhile! At the last Pinball Showdown my 15 year old made the same comment - plus the need for some personnel hygiene!
Quoted from mikeatsparkys:btw, nice meeting you MustangPaul at FPF.
Hey, you too. Hope to make it next year also.

You think sexual harrasment is a good thing and really funny? Is it ok for guys to harrass your Mom, sister, wife or daughter then?
Once you have a daughter views change. My daughter likes pinball actually a lot more than my son. Wife likes pinball also.

Lighten up France's. People are allowed to have chovenistic or masagonistic views just as much as people are allowed to be bigots. We don't have to like it, but try not to get wound to tight about it.
I know under lord and have even bought a playfield off him before. He's a good dude and says things a lot in jest.

So funny yet so damn true. I think instead of wristbands next year at Expo, they should hand out deodorant and shampoo samples. When did pinball smell like a locker room after a game?

Nice or being jest? How about just being friggin creepy and stupid to post on Pinside anywhere, but especially on a female Pinsider's first post. Duh! He is a big boy and can stand up for himself. I am allowed to say what I want also. No?
Welcome Aboard!
Be afraid, be very afraid.
BTW: The Ladies like a guy who, "Looks like he smells good" & spells just as well.

I didn't run into any really smelly people at SFGE. I'll admit, being a fat guy, I was probably over-conscious about smelling good. There were a couple people who crop dusted, but I always let that slide.
