Hi everyone,
I recently (before setting up after a move) decided to tackle some cabinet damage on my Haunted House, thinking I could easily bondo/sand some damage around the legs/corners and touch it up. I've accomplished the repair part, but now trying to paint match those areas has been a nightmare. I've had good results with some semi-gloss black, but the green on the cab is difficult for me.
I'm not great at paint matching by eye and have made no real headway myself. The local big box stores/Sherwin Williams say to bring something in, but that would require taking the whole head in sans glass.
Overall the paint isn't bad on this game, just the areas I've fixed. I don't think this work warranted a whole stencil/repaint project or anything. I'd be happy to buy a quart of a matching green if that gets this done. Should I just haul the head to a paint store? Are they even going to be able to match the color and sheen if I do? Finally, is enamel the paint of choice for this kind of work?
