Hi everyone,

I recently (before setting up after a move) decided to tackle some cabinet damage on my Haunted House, thinking I could easily bondo/sand some damage around the legs/corners and touch it up. I've accomplished the repair part, but now trying to paint match those areas has been a nightmare. I've had good results with some semi-gloss black, but the green on the cab is difficult for me.

I'm not great at paint matching by eye and have made no real headway myself. The local big box stores/Sherwin Williams say to bring something in, but that would require taking the whole head in sans glass.

Overall the paint isn't bad on this game, just the areas I've fixed. I don't think this work warranted a whole stencil/repaint project or anything. I'd be happy to buy a quart of a matching green if that gets this done. Should I just haul the head to a paint store? Are they even going to be able to match the color and sheen if I do? Finally, is enamel the paint of choice for this kind of work?

If there is a small piece like an inside service rail or other small piece that can be removed you can take it to a Lowe's and they will match it.
I have actually taken the entire head from a game (my Fathom) in to a Sherwin Williams to get all the colors matched in order to touch up the cabinet.

They will match and mix the color for you.

Thanks for the reply.

My issue with Sherwin Williams is they tell me they don't have Semi-Gloss enamel, though I suspect the current sheen on my game is that (not satin, etc). Otherwise I would have already taken it there.

Did they have to adjust the colors much after scanning it?
