Quoted from Taxman:Orbiter 1 has a clear PF with a moonscape below.
I mean just use that material in place of the wood. Clearcoat it the same as the real wood one. Well, I guess if something better was out there, they'd use it...
Quoted from jwilson:Also the composite materials don't take screws well and you'd need to use t-nuts everywhere.
Understood.
Quoted from Guinnesstime:Oh my God, that was hilarious.
"The Smaug toy looks like one of those grabbers people who can't reach things use."
That one got me too!
Quoted from Crash:The fact that Hitler has been reduced to a laughingstock is the whole point of the meme. He's been parodied for generations.
Yep!
Quoted from Reality_Studio:there seems to be an intense hatred for Stern on Pinside.
No….they hate EVERYBODY….except Spooky…
Quoted from Nevus:Someone in this thread, maybe Black Knight, made a very reasonable suggestion. Don't buy NIB. I see no problem going look at a game that has already had its issues either exposed or solved by the first owner.
Uh, that means SOMEBODY has to buy NIB for you to get it.....
Quoted from Minneapolispin:to save some 4 and make sure there aren't playfield or other issues.
What other numbers do you want to save?
Quoted from Ranhorton:I'm beyond excited For it to arrive and twice as excited see my two young sons and wife go crazy on this game.
Er, and who else?? ......
Quoted from Ranhorton:Oh you and the misses are definitely coming over once GBLE arrives! Can't wait to see you and my kids giggle with excitement!
Can't wait!
Quoted from someoneelse:a new highlight from Sterns QC department...
Please tell me that's Photoshopped...
The best option seems to be the they send box, you put in playfield, send to Stern, they do swap and send back to you.
Quoted from Mbecker:they really have a couple options and they will choose the one that costs them the least amount of money
Or wait and keep reading here until we figure it out for them...
Quoted from Bryan_Kelly:Without getting into detail, a series of fans have to be installed on both sides to aid in drying.
Do you think they are getting them out too fast and they need more time to dry?
Quoted from Colsond3:I still haven't heard back from the guy, and he won't answer PM's. Just a dick move that I didn't appreciate.
Please tell us who it was so we can stay away....
Quoted from BillySastard:A warranty is a guarantee given by a company to a purchaser stating that a product will meet certain requirements during a given time.
A warrantee is someone to whom the warranty is given.
Quoted from Who-Dey:He definitely has an awesome car, but I have a Spitzer dragster sitting in my garage that will smoke his
POIDH
Quoted from kpg:I'm going to work with Gary on this and probably not update details from this point on until things get resolved.
This is smart.
Quoted from Rokablly:What is the consensus, is it safe, do I pull the trigger or is it not safe and I should cancel?
Call Stern and discuss. can't hurt....
Quoted from Ballypinball:Stevie Wonder is making the playfields
Sheesh!
New game comes out….BAM!…Sold Out!
Bitch & Moan
Next game comes out…(cost a fortune)…BAM! …Sold Out!
Bitch & Moan
Next game RUMORED to come out…BAM! …Sold Out!
Bitch & Moan On Ready
Yeah, we're showing them!
Quoted from kpg:Something to note that I was told.. the acknowledgment by Stern Pinball Inc. on video and in writing about the defects. That is huge
Does how their warranty is stated have anything to do with this?
Quoted from Kiwipinhead:More to the point, has the OP got a new playfield?
Yes!...and it's up to the OP to request Thread Closure....
Quoted from jar155:They really should have sent the populated playfield out first. The buyer bought in good faith, Stern should extend good faith back to the customer.
