Stern may not make a public announcement but it would be in their best interest to at least communicate with their distributors when the issue has been resolved. I'm not going to speculate that a delay in production means all has been resolved.
I have a premium GB on order and at this time my distributor has not asked me for the balance of my payment but when they do ask, the first question out of my mouth will be "Have the play field issues been resolved?" If the distributor doesn't know, next question will be, "Has Stern has told the distributors that they will make things right at some point in time for those affected?" If the answer to that is also no, I will be canceling my order or at least delaying my purchase until those questions have been answered. It's nice to hear from those like KPG who have received a response from Stern but honestly we shouldn't have to be hearing this through the grape vine. We should be hearing this from our distributors.
Since Stern's standard response is contact your distributor than I would expect that they would communicate with their distributors.
