This would be a great opportunity for someone from stern to step in, and show that they care about individual consumers, and start to put out this giant tire fire.

And for the record, i have a "defective" Star Trek playfield that chipped clear within 50 plays of NIB. Stern and my distributor handled it, and I was satisfied with the customer service I received. Will I buy NIB again.. NEVER!

You probably won't be able to post to their facebook page after posting that.... That's just how they deal with questions that aren't good Public Relations for them... I haven't been able to comment on their page for years, after asking where the Star Trek code was.... I wonder, where IS the Star Trek code

When I had issues with my STrek playfield, I was told that Stern was working on a "New Hardcoat" I wonder if this has anything to do with the issues? This was before they came out with their clear coat repair kit.

Instead your paying more to have it moved to where it's an inconvenience.

I have a 2013 (2nd run) Star Trek, that the clear cracked in the ball trough within 50 plays.. Stern has been having Playfield problems for years now...

Just took a good look at my machine. ST, Jan. 2014. This is not just a "new" playfield issue. 5 out of 6 of the shot inserts are cracked.

Sterns play-field quality is not a new issue... Asking for a pf deposit is revolting, and a fucking slap in the face in my opinion.

Start documenting now with pictures, if you can prove that it gets progressively worse as time goes by, you should not have an issue getting some type of compensation.
