Pinsiders are an eclectic bunch, the hobby attracts all types, so I was hoping someone would be able to help me out.

I have pretty good Google-fu, but for the life of me I can't find any information regarding this Chinese(?) Dragon wall hanging I picked up at a thrift store. To my chagrin, I've already spent hours looking for anything like it but have come up empty.

So I'm hoping some kind dragon-knowledgable Pinsider could help preserve my tenuous sanity.

I presume there must be a name for this pose. I may have ascertained that it is supposed to offer protection?

The thing is about two feet around, so it's substantial. Cast from resin. No markings.

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Did you google get a better dragon? This thing looks awful. Sorry my filter is off at this time.

    Dragon Riding Clouds

Clouds are symbols of celestial mobility because many gods and immortals used the cloud as a vehicle on which they traveled. The cloud is also considered a portent of good luck, carrying needed rains that enable the growth of abundant crops. When clouds are combined with auspicious Chinese dragons, it makes a perfect emblem to manifest positive effects in your life.

What a lame attempt at trolling.

I read the book Tracks in the Sand by Richard Dragon. Does that count?

Go to Google - search "meaning of Chinese dragons", that and go to images to find yours. ( which I posted above ).

I’m not trolling. I’m drunk! If I wanted to troll that would actually be like being drunk. Say the thing all time rinse and repeat. Ok I agree if only if you call me a drunken troll. That cool?

Asshole post! If you like the dragon more power to you. Damn wobbly pops!

A bump for the wasting time at work crowd. Posting when I did was not the best choice.

Why am I not surprised that so far the only real help was from Lloyd? LTG, you're the best! Your suggestions led me to a couple places I hadn't already seen, but I still have no idea where this very substantial piece came from or what it might be worth.

It looks way cooler in person, it's 3 or 4 inches deep, more or less a wall sculpture, and very detailed.

If I can't find any comps, guess I'll just have to auction it, but I'd still need to know what best to call it to attract attention from the right buyers. I wonder if there is a Pinside for asian art enthusiasts.
