I find it odd that JJP would even have more then 1 of each number sticker. Why print multiple stickers with the same number, unless it’s planned to use the same number twice.

I can understand the OP’s frustration, I’d be equally pissed off. If I give a company Money for a unique product that they advertise. Then I’d expect it to be unique. People laugh it off because the number is 1939. (Super cool) but what about a signed #1 prototype? The games value will definitely be affected by that special number.

If this is “just a mistake” then it speaks volumes about jjp’s bookkeeping skills. If you can’t keep customers orders organized then you have larger internal problems then just printing 2 stickers with the same number. Serial numbers and product numbers should match. Because they don’t match at best we see mistakes being made, at worst we see customers deceived on purpose.

Here’s another example. Wasn’t a stern hulk Le #194 stolen years back from a movie theater? If anyone else has a hulk LE # 194 it wouldn’t look good for the seller of that game, everyone would assume it was stolen. What it one of these 1939 games went missing? Would the other owner automatically be suspected as a thief?

Quoted from stpcore:

My name is Ken Cromwell and I'm the Communication Specialist for Jersey Jack Pinball. This situation was recently brought to my attention and I wanted to address it in an effort to clear up any confusion. I do apologize for any confusion as there was absolutely an error with two 1939 decals being generated for two different machines.
Wizard of Oz Ruby Red edition is limited to 1500 games. After doing some research it turns out that the OP had requested 1939 and that number was given assigned to his machine. That should have prevented an additional 1939 number request from being accepted. The seller of the WOZRR that is currently listed did NOT request a number for his machine but a 1939 decal was generated and shipped by mistake. I've contacted the seller of this machine to update him with the correct number of his machine that we have on file (it is not 1939). This was an error on our end as we would not have ever duplicated a number intentionally.
Again, our apologies for the error and for any confusion this may have caused. I would encourage everyone to reach out to us directly (with any problems, concerns, or feedback) as we have a very open line of communication. It would allow us the opportunity to serve you to the best of our ability.

Good job ken, I like the cut of your jib. Anyone can make a mistake but it’s nice to see someone admit a mistake, apologize, and move forward. As much as this is an embarrassment for occurring, it’s nice to hopefully see a solution found, and possibly improve practices in the future.

I think it’s good that it was brought to the attention of the community. If it becomes a regular occurrence then there’s a problem. Luckily this was just a mistake
