Actually, he was correct. In most cases anyway. Both my RR and a friends RR shipped without the numbers in the video display and both of us had to put our game numbers in ourselves.

That being said, I know JJP was keeping track of numbers at some point because I tried to get machine 805 (anniversary date) but they told me it was already assigned. I got 915 instead (wife's birthday).

That blows that they somehow doubled up game numbers on you. Did you buy direct or through a distributor?

EDIT: You answered that last part as I was typing it. He must not have recorded it which sucks! I bought from his daughter directly and she took the time to look up the assigned numbers. Hopefully she recorded mine.

Quoted from metallik:

Meanwhile, on my much-more-limited run Rob Zombie, I don't even know what number it is. Never noticed it on the cabinet anywhere and not mentioned on invoice.
I don't know how I'll sleep tonight knowing my game is numberless. Maybe I'll christen it RZSI no. 666

If RZ was done the same as the other Spooky games (I'm sure it was), your number would be the last 3 numbers of your serial number. My ACNC is game number 393 and that is the last 3 of my serial number as well. Now I am curious to know your RZ number!!

I posted earlier in the thread, but some have pointed out a fact that I did not take into consideration when I initially read this and felt that it was "screwed up" for this to happen. There were 1500 RR games made (or supposedly) and they let you pick your own number as long as it wasn't already taken (as was my experience when I bought).

BUT.... If you pick a number OUTSIDE of 1-1500 which is what the numbering system was intended for, then that is a special order sticker and not really a game number. There IS NO game 1939 out of a 1500 game run. Its just a custom sticker at that point. So if he makes multiple 1939 stickers, so be it. That is not a game number. It is a sticker with the year the movie was made on it. As others had said, if there were multiple game #1's, then that would be an issue. But once you go past 1500, well...
