True, but that's why I always weigh the value of how much I put into a machine if I don't plan on keeping it. Sometimes, it's not practical to expect to get your investment if you put more than the machine is worth into it.
Looks like someone tipped him off that it was over priced (maybe pointed him here). The price is now a steal at $1200.
