Not mine but I agree, looks fantastic. These are #s 36 & 44.
Quoted from Neal_W:I always wondered where the backbox speakers were.
Yeah, I thought that was interesting too. I'm guessing they could be used to upgrade other Sterns rather inexpensively (as in, $30 at Walmart):

Nice Gen 1 Lightning! I miss the one I used to have.
I do not care a ton for retheming existing titles I have already played. Especially at an 8K pricepoint!!! But I will say it again at the risk of repeating myself. zombyetilicious I have and always will love your artwork. I have also always enjoyed Primus, especially the bass and backbeat!!! I merely want more gameplay for $8,000! Please zombie keep doing what you do! It is a thing of beauty to look at!
Just showed up today. 18 games in and I already had to add my 1st mod. Maybe we can get the government to build a wall around the stern factory to keep them from importing crappy parts. Wait, what time is it? Are they still open? #notilt

I don't even understand how that's possible. The ball speeds are so low on these. Top quality parts, Stern. Bravo.

Jack it up and throw in a powerball and it’s not.
Quoted from RebelGuitars:Jack it up and throw in a powerball and it’s not.
I doubt that was the use case here, or cause of failure, and wasn't my point.
Quoted from rubberducks:I don't even understand how that's possible. The ball speeds are so low on these. Top quality parts, Stern. Bravo.
Exactly. I figure i'll get rid of the other flipper as well and turn it into a bingo machine. That way I won't have to worry about the playfield dimpling.
Quoted from RebelGuitars:Jack it up and throw in a powerball and it’s not.
I felt like the powerball was a waste of $50 (in Can Crusher). I put the regular ball back in after a couple days. Seems like as much zip as any other game.

Powerballs are great for that though. Try them out, see if you like the difference, and worst case scenario you pull it out for the next machine.
Quoted from RobOOZE:Got #29 today!
That is a lot of Zima. Do they still make that or is that like some vintage stash?
CONGRATS ON THE GAME THO!

What I'm saying is I did spent $50 on a new powerball. I did put it in my Can Crusher. It was not fun or better (for me).
And robOOZE, I might have a Zima lighted sign in my shed if you want it
Quoted from RobOOZE:Got this in my PRIMUS bag....lol

Stern's blind line workers and QAs are still alive and well.

You should open "The Munsters" bag and show what is there to the guys of that thread
I'm sure he'd like to. But .....might be one or two peeps at Stern that wouldn't be happy about it. Otherwise I'd bet he'd share that along with a Zima.
That game sure is spiffy. I like the vibe. All the green is groovy.
Mine get's delivered on the 27th.. let's pray everything works correctly!
PS. Maybe just ONE sneak peek from the Munster's manual?

After eight or so hours of playing this machine i must say i do enjoy it 10x more than i thought i would. Its a really fun game imo. I added "cheater-flippers" but they have a benifit of hitting the ball on it's equator and less stress to the machine. No added ball spinning.
The original flipper sits up higher in the machine from my pic, making the angle of flipper-to-ball kinda shitty. The rubber constantly forces ball into the table and also bad stress in the flipper itself. Ball ends up spinning as well.
No wonder they break when ball is hustling down and you smack it like a baseball bat with the flipper. POP...broken flipper at the lame tack-welds.
No big deal and easy to replace, but one would have thought that by now humans could have figured out how to make a forking flipper by now. Right?

haha I grow cannabis in SoCal! what made you think I work for a distributor?? I'm just a pin addict!
PS. PRIMUS is amazing and really fun! The household is enjoying it, sorry haven't posted pix yet! The holidays have been crazy

What an absolutely bizarre piece of design. I wonder what possessed them to have them made like that. Not aware of any other flippers like this?

I was referring to you not posting the Munster's manual. Now you've got no excuse.

ohhhh haha I was telling the person above me who had the manual, to post a sneak peek but they won't! I wish I had it

Just putting a double rubber on those stock small flippers would probably work too.
Would soneone take a picture of the inside cab mounting of their shooter rod. We just opened one and the shooter rod is sitting too low. Just want to rum e out wrong mounting.

I posted a pic on Facebook Primus Pinball Sucks group.

The upgraded sound system includes stereo capability for sound tracks, higher quality sound files (double the data 44100 vs 22050), and a subwoofer.
Not only just a couple Kenwood speakers. Just adding the speakers is not going to bring you up to the Premium Sound system specs.
He's probably still too angry to post, but Primus #29 broke in the same place as @dannylite's. Left flipper just broke right off during a livestream in his house. Very little plays in a one person home environment. Whomever was welding the left flippers parts need to have a "Stern" talk about quality...
Two people posted on FB primus pinball group with broken flippers. Big ehrl (bought Two machines!) and another dude in Baltimore MD. (Danny)
Probably same guys? No?
Stern didnt make the flippers. Another company supplied.
Im Scott Hudson btw on facebook. Hi!
Quoted from turbo2nr:Probably same guys? No?
Nope, different guy. The guy I'm referring to has pictures above and loves Zima
BTW - I love your Primus glass piece!

Stern makes almost nothing except wiring looms.
I don't think those flipper designs are used by anyone else. So they would be made to Stern's requested spec and pricing constraints. No excuse.
Even minimal testing would have shown the problems. Since I'm sure they did some, minimal testing, they likely knew, and shipped them anyway.
Then wow, that makes three out of five people i know that bought one.
Add Williams 2 1/4 flippers and enjoy! $8 each.
Abandon the OEM 2" and move on with life. Plays great and really hard to flip the score. Most new players average around 3000 to 4000 points per game on my machine. 10min or so.
Quoted from turbo2nr:Stern didnt make the flippers. Another company supplied.
This is true but it doesn't make Stern any less responsible. They own 100% of this issue.
