Indeed!

Maybe primus wanted to mitigate some risk and sold a handful at a discount bulk.

#552 6 months ago
Quoted from WolfManCat:

I would have bought this game but I already have WNBJM and as much fun as Primus is I think I prefer big titties more.

Titties are two of my top 5 favorite things.

wonder price

Less than Primus website.

Quoted from BackFlipper:

That's some real IPA LE. Sold one day only at Noon Whistle Brewery in Lombard, IL. Good luck finding some.

So this why you sold your Alien LE to me. Im jealous.

Enjoy your $13k beer

Limited to 100!

Only available via Primus!

72 hours later a 3rd party has inventory below msrp.

If this stings now wait until the 2nd run minus the autographs.

Right behind awesome selling Beatles! Those will be discounted soon too.

Of the 50 games on the Primus website a dealer could add to cart, now there are 10. And 25 games left total.

So either these are selling like hotcakes or a dealer or dealers are sitting on up to 40 of them.

Primus pinball is soooooo November 26.

You mean like all of those discounted sterns that distributors are fire selling?

funny part is that he is right on Beatles. Price has already gone down in the past week.

Lots of leeway coming on that one and seems quite a few bought the 10 pack but are sitting on a pile of Golds not budging.
With Muensters leak it appears a few are ready to talk. I expect more opportunity if you are patient.

Quoted from erak:

Saw Primus July 5 1994. They opened for Pink Floyd in Toronto for the division Bell tour.
It was a fantastic show.

They did?!

That's amazing. I saw that show twice that year in Clemson and RFK Stadium and no opener.

So where have golds gone down? Everyone I’ve spoken to is saying same price as day 1.

You sure are interested in the price of a game you dont like and dont want to route

Why are you calling all over the place for prices if you dont want one?

Has the price come down or not is the question, my distro hasn’t called for final payment yet on my gold. If price has been reduced it would be a good time to know! Lol

I've seen prices from $7600 to $8000 since the announcement. Nothing has really changed and distributors are not going to panic after 2 weeks.

2 weeks ago it was "8000 firm as these are selling themselves"
now it is "7600 and please let me know if you are interested"

That is a change...

I have said I like it and would like to route it... I DONT like the price and wont be buying one at current prices.
For clarity, I have meade 2 calls and have been contacted directly by 2 others (one of them 2x now).

You sure are defensive of a game you dont own nor plan to own. Why are you still so supportive of this money grab price and pricing model?

That’s not a price drop. I ordered day 1 and $7600 is what I was quoted. Some dealers are honest and some try to cash grab, you know this.

My two local guys and large regional guy 2 hours away all were 8k or higher for a gold. Hard to support the local guys when they pull shit like that, just saying. I’d really like to.

when the same guy is 8k on day 1 and now 2 weeks later is calling with 7600, that is a price drop.

I know everyone keeps saying that this game was "not for pinheads" but simply put they are not selling well to non-pinheads either due to the price.
Supply and demand is what rules it all. We all know that Pro/Gold was sold to distributors with them aiming for a huge mark up and calculated risk of buying the 10 pack to really cash in on the Prem and LE models.

Supply on Pros is very high. Prices are reflecting that already in 2 weeks.

Not intended for pinheads but here are 9 different sellers with multiples if you are looking. https://pinside.com/pinball/machine/stern-the-beatles/market

You've been utterly obsessed over this game since it was announced. I haven't bought one so I'm not sure how I'm supporting it other then I'm happy they made it and look forward to playing one.

I was told $7600 from 1 distro and $7999 from all others on day one. So nothing has really changed. If you have a distro beating down your door looking for buyers why not PM that to people like Psw757 so he can get a better deal and this desperate distro can move some inventory. Otherwise it just sounds made up. Why do any of you expect them to sell 1964 games in 2 weeks? If any other company sold half that many they would be championed as the king of the market. Stern sells a good % in 2 weeks and something is a flop. Spooky still hasn't sold all 500 ACNC in 20 months since it was announced? What does that mean? Is ACNC a huge flop that pinheads do not want and are not interested in? Or are both games doing just fine and you are just doing your typical bag on stern BS.

#570 6 months ago

I was locked in at $7600 on day 1 so it isn’t a price drop. It’s called dealers not trying the cash grab trick anymore and are selling it for the real street price.

No different than Msrp for a stern pro at $5695 when street price is more like $52-$5300 or a Premium whose msrp is 76-7700 when street price is $7199.

What a bunch of BS. Now if someone has pricing below $7600 shipped, this is new and would be what I define an actual drop in price.

Primus sucks.
Your Beatles pricing argument sucks.

I still want to see an ultimate rock lineup with Primus, Metallica, Aerosmith, AC/DC etc all in a line.

#572 6 months ago

so where did we land on duplicate accounts?

That’s a good start but it’s not the ultimate rock lineup if it doesn’t include Nugent, GNR, Stones, Maiden, Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie !!!

Mine would be Slayer, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Motorhead. Oh man that sounds great. I have Iron Maiden I down 4 to go.

Apparently allowed if you are an employee of Stern?

I'm a big Primus fan and pinball too. Would it be cool to more artists do limited tables for hard core fans, too many to list here. Les Claypool is on to something!

So sad! Primus is one of my favorite bands, but it seems like this thread is coming to an end.

#580 6 months ago

unsurprisingly, the callouts are amazing because, hey, Les Claypool.

Its sad when the huge regional everyone loves isn't competitive for an in-state cash paying customer under 2 hours away. I can get a better deal from half way across the country.

#584 6 months ago
Quoted from JodyG:

Instant gratification always costs a tad bit more when you deal locally but, hey! You A) get to inspect the box for damage before you pay, B) load it up right then and there, followed up by my favorite, C) playing the crap out of it that day/evening!

Plus,
If you KEEP doing it that way, your local dealer eventually comes to the conclusion that wow, you’re a serious repeat buyer(!) and the “better deal”, now becomes your “normal deal”, which also come with the added benefit of being able to walk around the shop to pick out whatever else suits your pin-fancy that day.

Possibly a sweet project game they got on the cheap, that they need gone? Or maybe some other unobtanium odds and ends that they don’t necessarily need anymore.

Give it a try JodyG, you might be surprised at what a little face to face communication can do.

Also cash, bring cash too.

I would consider buying a Primus playfield for the art alone.

#588 6 months ago

Partial or full populated Primus on the wall. That would be cool, since I won't have the actual game.

Primus rocks. I love those concert posters. If you haven't seen Primus recently, and you like music. You should go.

They are virtuosos at thier instruments. Such a treat to watch them play.

I want a golden ticket. They could just give me one.

They included golden tickets in thier album Primus and the chocolate factory. If you got one you can go to any Primus concert any where for free for the rest of your life. You are in.

Wait a second, I was told by numerous idiots that "why is Stern wasting time distracting itself making hundreds of thousands of dollars on one-offs like Primus when it's just delaying a bunch of other pins I don't want and will complain about endlessly anyway."

So you mean Stern runs a real pinball factory that can make at least TWO games at once?!

Bizarre.

Also I hate Munsters for some reason. Shoulda been made by Deep Root or JJP!!! Just look at those pics smdh.

Gotta love how the Munsters threads blow up when Stern promotes Primus production. And primus thread is sound asleep. Lol

Reveal in the next few days. Show us the Munsters!

Always thought the game Brutal Legend would work well as a pin with mix of metal bands.

There are a few of us east bay locations trying to work that out... but nothing solid yet. **ahem*koff*koff**
