Restoring pinball machines is what got me into the hobby in around 2000, and I used to think I did a pretty good job until I found this thread. Chris you are unmatched and I absolutely LOVE following along with your amazingly detailed descriptions and photos. This is by far my favorite thread on Pinside. Thank you so much and please continue to share your work with us as we move into 2020.

I’m curious about how much of the cabinets you clear coat after painting black. Is it all of the painted surfaces? And is it the same glossy clear you use on the playfields or something different?
