Everything being plugged/socketed is such an awesome touch.

Someone could do well selling HEP-compatible replacement parts!

#1088 5 years ago

Any idea when you might start work on that STTNG you just sold? Can't wait to see it here!

#1114 5 years ago

Those edges make me weep with joy

#1205 5 years ago

With every little amazing mind-blowing detail I regret more and more not jumping on that STTNG...

Shooter rod is upside down, unacceptable!

#1400 5 years ago

Since you're already vacuum sealing your salmon, have you ever tried sous vide cooking?

#1440 5 years ago

Requesting "rowing the boat" gif, and then also requesting Robin turn that into Chris' profile picture

What a huge shaker motor, is that for a Hercules?

Your UPS guy must think you're pretty weird... nothing but pinball parts, beer and fish deliveries!

#1963 5 years ago

I've dreamt of doing a long-form slow paced documentary, with HEP taking a machine from delivery at his warehouse to complete and shipping.

It'd be 12 hours long and a single episode.

#1965 5 years ago

Have you looked into sous vide at all yet? Also where's that guy who bought a whole sous vide setup because of this thread? Haha

#1972 5 years ago

Maybe Chris can be The Masked HEP - but there's no denying Maverick would become way too famous either way.

There's something comforting about an artisan like Chris having similarly messy handwriting as myself, the complete opposite of an artisan

#2220 5 years ago

5 or 6 for sure, that black looks real nice

#2237 5 years ago

Got any orange wafers that match the playfield? That might look cool

#2263 5 years ago

Got any wafers that match the orange on the playfield? That might look nice, sort of matching concentric circles

#2307 5 years ago

Can you clearcoat it?

There's something hilarious about literally running away from your wife once her shopping gets out of hand!

I can't be the only one to want to see a clearcoated door... or maybe I'm just weird

The original spinners and targets look better in every way, even with slightly aged colors. That texture is so unique!

Quoted from Spyderturbo007:

I have to say that you do phenomenal work. Your attention to detail is unmatched, but with that said, I don't know if I'd ever be able to send you a machine. Not because I wouldn't love to have one of mine re-done, but I'd be afraid to touch the damn thing for fear of screwing it up.

I wouldn't be - Chris rebuilds these machines to be played, they probably stay pristine for more games than anything from a factory.

I do get it from an art appreciation standpoint though... maybe that just means you need two HEP copies of every pin

Have you ever come across a perfect install-ready playfield? I'd imagine even factory ones can have issues.

What in the world is this mess? Haha

That is some seriously impressive HEP magic on the Tron cabinet!

I have a probably stupid question:

Do you deliver your finished games with glass on? It makes sense that none of your pictures have it, just wondering if you leave it up to the customer for shipping safety or glass preference purposes.

Also you rule, etc
