More pics of Maverick please.

I really like the idea of adding those skid rails to the back/bottom of the CAB.
Is that standard for all your restorations?
Quoted from High_End_Pins:Maverick is off to the groomers.
Didn't he just get a haircut a couple weeks ago?
Where do you get chicken breasts with skin on in single packs?
Everything here is either already skinless/boneless
or if you want skin on with rib meat
it only comes in a jumbo 4 pack (Foster Farms @ Kroger).
We like to cook with skin on, since it cooks better that way,
then just remove the skin afterward while eating,
if you are concerned about that sort of thing.
Your eldest looks like he might be amish.
Those TAFTC bumper caps are a bit much.
Great superb work, love this thread.
Have you been restoring for 16 yrs?
How long does the stout beer have to rest after a jog home,
before you dare open it?
Also how much are avocados (med size) in NC?
Quoted from High_End_Pins:Around $1.80 for a good med sized one
Heck I thought they were expensive here in Oregon at $0.75 to$1.00 on average for a medium Avocado (Large are about $1.50 each)
That's one thing I miss about Calif, as they were about half that much.
Bananas here are about $0.59 to 0.69 per lb.
Though dozen Large grade A eggs are cheap here ($0.99 to $1.25 per dozen)
Gala Apples are $0.99 to $1.49 per lb most of the time. Course those are mostly local.
I like the graphics on the backbox (of the new design) better than the old;
but prefer the original design on the CAB compared to your new design.
New design and paint job still looks great overall.
The hand coming out of the WMS logo on the original looks hokey to me, but then again I like the fantasifull face blowing on the original CAB.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:Maverick has hopped out of the frog, unlatched and is ready to party
Almost looks like its time for another haircut.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:I did the STTNG,Bally Star Trek, and AFM unfortunately he fell ill and passed before he could finish setting them up.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:Also forgot to mention all games not restored are HUO or were NIB including the DE Star Trek which came from a studio executive.
There looks to be a (restored? by HEP?) GTB EM awaiting set up next to the BLY Star Trek,
do you know what that game is, as you did not list it!
Large mouth gatorade , powerade or ice tea bottle works well for emergency pee bootle and lid will screw back on to secure from spills.
What is Curtis' start weight prior to your new workout regime program for him
and what is his target or will you know once he gets there.
Also is he going to go on a diet similar to yours
or will he be eating/drinking the same junk he has been eating for past several years?
Good luck to you both on this endeavour.
How much of a workout regime do you have scheduled for Maverick;
or is he pretty much self regulated and in good shape.
He is still in puppy mode, but when he settles in to adulthood
hopefully he will remain as much of a character as he is now.
I know with our dog Dewey, we need to do more to motivate him
to get more exercise. Actually it has more to do with motivating myself
to get off my butt to see that he gets more exercise.
We are both getting old, him 13 yrs and me 63 yrs.
Our weights are OK, (probably could lose some, 1to2 lbs for him and 5-8 lbs for me),
but our mobility and flexibility and stamina is what needs work.
Quoted from mjruser:I spent 3 hours last night reading posts and only made it to page 28.
I almost dread it when I am away from pinside for a couple of days;
as it probably means that I have > 100 new posts to read thru on this HEP thread.
It is so easy to get behind.
Not only do I learn a bunch, but on the flipside,
feel guilty about how little I do at home
on working on my pins or chores around the house and failure to excersize.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:I don’t care what it cost though I will pour one out that I hate before I will drink it.
Cost the same either way no point in torturing myself.
Could always use them for shampoo or cooking, unless it is really foul.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:More stuff floating around in the cabinet
A Brentwood Country Club card in a Centaur pinball machine.
Interesting.
I know PJ
I believe I bought a Rockmakers from him years ago. He is still around LA.
And The Pinball Warehouse in Northridge on Tampa rings a bell
I believe they went out of business yrs ago.
i do not follow this thread for the pinball tips, but for Maverick updates and brew and bbq food and workout tips.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:They are just built in similar dimensions to a standard pinball dolly.
They are easily stacked and heads or other parts can be screwed to them if needed.
Who helps you pick up and place CABs onto and off the dollies for painting or other assembly processes.
or does all your workouts allow you to man handle it all yourself?
Hwooo,
finally caught up after being away for several weeks.
I am also looking forward to see the woodrail competed.
I kinda like the SelectACard chick having a black eye, if it was my game, I would leave that as is.
Fantastic work all around otherwise.
Your work already has you pretty much self isolated, but was wondering if the pandemic
has had any impact on your work yet?
Maybe some supply lines might get delayed a bit?
Especially with "near marshall" law going into effect all around.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:Maverick is having a hard time figuring this baby thing out.
He really wants that pacifier for himself
Every one normally hates hearing a baby cry.
But I find it kind of soothing (at least babies 9 months or younger),
because it just the way babies communicate.
When kids get older, it does get annoying
and tends towards just being tantrums.
How many more days, before you are not allowed to take your final pin photo shoots outside?
Stay healthy, cheers to all.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:Outdoor work out now requires a mask
In your line of work what with spray painting and lots of sanding, etc.
did you already have a plentiful supply of masks,
or do you use something completely different
when spraying or sanding.
Or did you have any trouble getting resupply of masks or cartridges for masks.
I have bought electronics from Bombay electronics previously (with speedy delivery)
and always had good luck, generally have bought power transformers/converters or Non Region DVD players.
But got this notice in my email, about them having a supply for dust masks now, I think Bombay is out of Chicago,
but they obviously have connections overseas.
Not sure what normal pricing would/should be, but does not seem ultra terribly overpriced,
Also not true N95 masks but similar, but
if you just got to have something in the interim, these are better than nothing .
Certainly good enough to go to the supermarket.
Glad Maverick finally showed up (after nearly 4 weeks absence) in your post of about 4 days ago.
Wondering if he may be getting a bit more shaggy lately,
since I assume the dog groomers are on lockdown for past several weeks.
Also wondering if you are getting shaggy, or do you have clippers to give yourself a homemade trim.
Whew!
Finally caught up after being 2 months behind.
More Maverick please.
And get to the Cyclopes soon please.
You may need to improve on your covid protocol,
and space those playfields at least 6 ft from one another.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:Few new arrivals this week
Looks like one of the new arrivals is a BLY Mystic
and the other a WMS EM Beat Time
Wondering what special HEP treatment that will get?
Quoted from High_End_Pins:Cleaned and polished what I could without going crazy. I had the game working well at teardown so my philosophy on EMs is if it ain’t broke don’t fix it!
I will be curious to find out with this EM if it will start up and run and play as intended, upon first try, as lots of EMs are pretty finicky, even if working fine previous to a cleaning or restore or shopping. My bet is that HEP will win out.
Are the centaur bumper caps semi transparent so some light shine thru when lit up,
maybe the eyes light?
Heck
I would be happy with his just posting the final end project photos of each completed pin, just before shipping out.
The tedium of posting each day (hour)
all of the each and every step of an overhaul project
was getting into overkill and I am sure a huge time kill for him,
though filled with very interesting and valuable info.
Probably thru youtube, he can monetize depending on his viewership and downloads.
Small it may be.
A lot less time taking and uploading photos and typing details and discussions,
when he can just hit record and talk for 10 minutes, then upload to internet.
And eventually get 5 to 10 times the eyeballs he can get on pinside.
More power to him for his efforts.
