Quoted from High_End_Pins:Two reasons for me that are most influential are
I can’t turn every thing I touch into an total ordeal or else I wouldn’t get anything out the door. These games have owners that would like to get them back.
That would be a lot of decals to bury in clear coat which would look nice but cause potential problems with everything from gameplay to longer term cracking.
thanks!!! That makes sense. Keep up the amazing work.
Quoted from epthegeek:That won't be a restore, it'll be a rebuild. New cabinet, new playfield, new plastic set, etc. As I would expect for any game that wrecked.
What if playfeild not avalible
Quoted from flynnibus: Those pieces look fantastic for just a tumbler pass..
He stated a few posts up it wasn't just a tumbler pass.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:I had to pretreat most of these by turning them with a drill in scotchbrite
I also believe he stated he used walnut but I'm too lazy too look. Got to the top of the thread and go search in thread and type in tumbler or walnut
Quoted from heni1977:The only maintenance this guy has is keeping shoes out of his mouth!!!
[quoted image]
And the constant clean up of dog hair all over the house.
Love a non shedding dog, have to get mine groomed every 2 months
Quoted from flynnibus:the red arrows ARE ratcheting crimpers.. and the good types
[quoted image]
The other two pair are probably his goto for round pin crimps. Tool on far right is a self tensioning wire stripper.
Thanks!!
Quoted from High_End_Pins:I need to harvest the parts from the playfield that I will reuse.
One big plus on the second EBD is it has the ball trap provisions in the target bank.

Never seen these before. Are they factory or aftermarket. Can you post a pic of them removed from game.
If you were closer I'd take all the playfeilds , boards, displays and lockbars but shipping would probably be crazy..... and I've looked at the road trip a little too far
Quoted from High_End_Pins:Now on to the TSPP.
Teardown has begun.
[quoted image]
Never done one before so I will restore as I go.
I will do these two items first.
The backboard and the upper playfield.
[quoted image][quoted image]
Excited to watch this one. Will you paint the backboard the match the blue decal better? Guess I'll have to wait and see!!
Quoted from flynnibus:Chris, with you redoing the cabinets in those heavy restores... have you considered swapping the games to slide rails vs the pivot point for the playfields? Would seem like a great upgrade for those designs.
That would be a amazing upgrade
Quoted from High_End_Pins:Battery pack is removed and remoted
One thing requested is LEDs so a LED OCD board is fitted and placed inconspicuously[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Why not just go nvram instead of batteries?
Quoted from turbo20lbs:Who works for Nike in your family?
I've been wondering the same thing lol
