I love these HEP threads. I used the orange cleaner he recommended and it destroyed all the smoke damage from the light board I was restoring.

Quoted from Mitch:

Wow really excited to see the phantom. Those playfeilds are normally terrible.

Hell just froze over, its on CPR's list of potential playfields to make.

Quoted from High_End_Pins:

Tommy is now in the Pinball dojo. [quoted image]

I bet that one still has the blinders. In all my years of addictivley searching for an original pair of blinders. I have NEVER seen one pop up for sale on ebay and don't recall seeing one listed on pinside.

Quoted from High_End_Pins:

Speaker panel is worth noting.
Creative
It is at the very least worth two cents.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Pinball life now sells the speaker hooks.

Quoted from High_End_Pins:

Hoped to have it painted and cleared today but it looks more like tomorrow. Getting there though. Long day.
Lost about four hours dealing with all the drilling so that is difference sometimes in getting it done in one day at two.
[quoted image][quoted image]

Who made the stencils?

Chris, for addams family what is the post as seen in the pic?

The manual leads me to believe its this part number:

https://www.marcospecialties.com/control/keywordsearch?SEARCH_STRING=02-3409

But the part looks wrong.

Will figure out what to do with this one tomorrow
[quoted image]

You cam send those off to be re plastic chrome plated i think

Quoted from High_End_Pins:

Couple more hours and Tommy will be done then we move onto TAF ,POTO nd EBD.
Maybe Dr Who as well.
Finding the NoS plastic set was a huge blessing to this project above all else.
Still need to sort out the silver ball target but I have been in contact with a person that has one so it should all work out.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

GAP might be a good source as well

Quoted from Whysnow:

Any place to find the blue pad the knocker hits?
I can't find it anywhere and need a replacement. Also, how do you affix that pad?

I'm a henry ford type of guy when it comes to pinball. He once said you can have any color car you want as long as its black. My machines will be as close to stock as possible, except for this start buttom. I'm going to switch over to this color. This looks great.

Quoted from chad:

When completed, how many games are played for official testing. ?

I'd move next door to HEP if he was taking volunteers to play test.

TAFTC translite is polished on the front side

Glass cleaned

How much snow did you get?

#1573 5 years ago
Quoted from High_End_Pins:

When making the pivot holes especially on the tilt only playfield games my preference is 1/8 back and down compared to factory.
The idea behind this is it will fit more forgiving coming to rest more easily in the lock bar receiver given variances than copying the factory perfectly.
Wood shrinks, expands, factories have off days and duds so this is a protection out in place.
Here is the difference it can mean nothing or a lot.
Back to front
[quoted image]
Bottom to top.
[quoted image]
End result will be.
[quoted image]
It will have no bearing on how the game plays only how well the playfield and cabinet mesh together.

Odd stuff like this is helpful as I am setting up my own CNC files for my TAF build. Would TAF and a game like Funhouse have the same pivot location?
