#1380 5 years ago

What do you place between the pf to keep the new safe from scratching, when you are drilling?

#1525 5 years ago

Me too, I am waiting on my F-14 to get back and crazy scared to be putting it under a old one, with nothing in between. But hey, if one of the best restore guys does it.

#1564 5 years ago

I have also wondered this!

#1590 5 years ago

Mmmmmmmmm, Bourbon county stout!

So do you work out because you drink beer.
Or, so you can drink beer?
Wife's on my butt saying that my new year's res is to go on a diet! She says she misses my old military bod
Only thing is, is that it was not my choice. The military does not give you a choice

I like aspects of both Whirlwinds. But great job as always!

Did tons of pyramids in the military. Some of the best work out regimens. Also we did one day burn outs a week. Where you work lowest start weight in pyramids and do as many reps as possible with 2 minute intervals, 3 reps.
My wife really misses my military bod as she calls it!!

#2194 5 years ago

Thank you, And Thank you for all these Awesome posts! Learning a lot!!

Been there with the whole owner thing. My father and I did a lot of professional car painting and seen upset people. I have also seen people very pleased.
I grew tired of the nit pickers and haters! So i choose to be done with it.
I enjoy doing restorations for myself and will never do a pin for anyone, while I will do them and sell them so I can help keep the pins alive! As a hobby!!!
I love all the info I pick up on threads like this as it's helping me to learn. Thanks HEP, and you do great work!!

#2497 5 years ago

Oh I see what you did there!

#2502 5 years ago

Yeah, HEP when you gonna start a HEP nutrition thread!

#2650 5 years ago

We are worried about you HEP!

#2703 5 years ago

Love how you use old mixing cups to put nuts and bolts in, been doing that forever. Something my dad started doing a long time ago.
Also some sad news from my neck of the woods. Our paint store is gone
My dad went there before I was even born, and used to take me there all the time when I was little. I will never forget the smell of a auto paint store! And I think the smell of bondo will always be my favorite! Just thought I would share.
Great job as always HEP!

#2720 5 years ago

Ahhhhh the old yellow primer. Works well with dusting black for a nice flat sanding job!

#2749 5 years ago

You can really tell the difference from manufacturing ground braid and do it yourself. Always looks cleaner and squared away!

I can't tell you how many times I had rainbow colored boogers! That was back in the early 90's when my dad was teaching me how to paint cars. By the way what is a respirator anyway

Awesome! Keep up the great work, and remember, Pain is weakness leaving the body!!

3 weeks later
#4044 4 years ago

Keep up the great work Curtis! Looks like me at the grill with a beer!

#4119 4 years ago

I just like Chris's beer selection

#4138 4 years ago

Very glad to hear the beer is ok! I would argue the choice on trimmer but to each his own. I am a huge stihl fan and always had good luck with them. Plus I am in good with the mechanic at the shop so that helps too. 2 chainsaws and a weed eater running like champs!
I agree on glossing up the ramp! Will stand out more!

#4248 4 years ago

Have you given thought to curbing the edge in. So you have a nice distinctive line between grass and mulch? Would also help with mowing but creates a little more weed eating.
My small project right now
Each block is 82 pounds and all rock is brought down in buckets. Had to do myself, every one I called wanted 40 G's just to start!

Quoted from High_End_Pins:

How long will it take you?

I planned for 3yrs with weather. But we started in September so it is coming along well. Still have the second tier to do which will go the full length of yard, 60 feet. This will give me 10 ft out from house and roughly 60’ in length of flat yard. Doing the first run of block takes the longest as they have to be perfectly level!
Hoping to be done by next summer!!!
All so he can have a bigger back yard!
