Wow! I love that set up. Makes future adjustments on the bench or switch removal and reinstallation a breeze.

Chris,
I don't have a game going to you and probably never will (although I would love it). But you are an inspiration to many of us. Your weekly updates are incredible, and I love to see your progress. I may just have to send you some local beer because I am in awe! Thank you for your sharing your "journey".
Merry Christmas. Love to follow this thread. You are a blessing to the pinball community. The best to you and yours.
There is nothing like a Low Country Boil! I can't wait for deer camp in Southern Arkansas in November for my annual Low Country Boil!!!!
Quoted from High_End_Pins:They turned out great The key is to leave some slack in there for them to move around.[quoted image]
Once they come out of the tumbler, do how do you protect them? The tumbler usually removes some sort of protective coating on the metal.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:Looks good. I decided to join you long distance.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Yours looks equally as good. Enjoy.
Quoted from meSz:You know the neighbors are rolling their eyes and saying “there goes Chris taking pictures of a machine again..... didnt he just take pictures of that machine a few days ago?”!!!
Those were my thoughts exactly. Chances are they don't have a clue of who their neighbor really is or what the hell he really does. And they shake their head every time a machine comes outside.
Merry Christmas Chris to you and your family. Keep up this awesome thread, it is like Christmas for us all for the entire year.
Not to derail this awesome thread. With the same SEM products and some attention to detail, I was able to redo a set of rails and lockdown bar for an X-Files using the procedures Chris detailed out in his POTO restore. I'm very pleased with the results.
20191220_213947 (resized).jpg20200105_210443 (resized).jpgThe woodrail is absolutely gorgeous, and I didn't think I would say that about a pin of that era. But the question is on everyone's minds........What will be the HEP Memorial Day weekend food of choice???? Will it be salmon, lobster, chicken, steaks? and the fixin's, and the beer????? I guess we'll have to wait for the official word. Happy Memorial Day everyone, stay safe.
Chris, Off current topic post. Where do you source your sandpaper discs? Local, or someplace online?
Thank you Chris. Secondary question. I notice a lot of the fine sandpapers don't have holes. I would think that would interfere with dust collection and messing up the fine grit of the sandpaper.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:Woodcraft for the Festool sandpaper
Local automotive paint supplier for the 3M papers.
The Festool paper is good for all the rough grits up to 400
From 400 on 3M is preferred.
I think there was an update to the site. Its worse trying to post pictures from a phone.
That is probably the most beautiful AF I have seen. It's gorgeous Chris. Black trim on so many machines looks incredible. Especially on this one with the black ramps.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:we will figure it out tomorrow.

My guess is this........ https://www.roguefitness.com/xpo-trainer-2?gclid=Cj0KCQjw6575BRCQARIsAMp-ksN1mEZuF9AJNpM5o0TPwoPLdZij0lcm-Do1E0ygIwrjrI_ZYYeLObQaAjl5EALw_wcB
Chris, when you are using fiberglass on your cabinets, it looks like it has fiberglass strand in it, and not just resin. Are you purchasing it with fiberglass strand already in the mix or are you cutting up fiberglass mat to mix in?
Quoted from AUKraut:Available at Homedepot and other stores: [quoted image]
I just saw that the other day at home depot. Thank you.
Chris. Glad to hear your mom is doing better. Hope you and your family had a great Thanksgiving. Happy to see you be able to clear your thoughts and get back in the shop.
Chris, what are you using to just clean the face up? Is it bondo? Once you sand out, is there any other filler or glazing type putty that you use to fill imperfections? I think I've read it in this thread before, but sometimes hard to find it again.
Chris, Shipping has been horrible. What have you had the most luck with as far as receiving shipments? I have something to send South.
The timing on The Shadow is impeccable. I just bought one for my collection. I am very much looking forward to this one.
Looks fantastic Chris. I'm following this build like a hawk. I'm in the midst of a Shadow rebuld right now, and will do my own shortly.
Quoted from Sonic:Chris - those Shadow's need our MRS'!!! It replaces the problematic left ramp, diverted over to the right side, switch....
[quoted image]
I will 3rd the Shadow MRS switch. They work awesome. Keep 'em coming Matt.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:Glad to see Pinside back up and running.
After reading Robins post I am suspending this thread until it is stable again as I don’t want to drag things down.
Always looking forward to when you resume your thread.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:I got the updated Shadow decals and applied them. Looking forward to some fresh projects as well as focusing on some of those only semi in provinces like the C-37 now that I can clear some space.
[quoted image][quoted image]
Those look great. Are they also from pinballdecals.eu? The pictures look nice and blue on the face, not purple.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:I just posted this Who Dunnit here for sale if anyone is interested.

Damn Chris, I'm not looking for a Who Dunnit, but you should put these offers up more often. This is an awesome opportunity. Obviously not a normal situation.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:Ellie loves to rock!
Off to good start.

Happy 4th of July! She's got this.
Awesome videos Christopher. So appreciate you taking the time to share your knowledge of your craft. Thank you for coming back.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:Thank you. We are working on it. Only a few days in the year can I get Marshall to spend some time with me. My birthday is always one of them. He is very regimented.
[quoted image]
That is an awesome photo. I'm glad Marshall was able to be a part of it.
Thank you Christopher for posting your corner technique on YouTube tonight. It was exactly what I was going to ask if you could do. Much appreciated. Erik
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Christopher to you and your family. May you continue to bless us with your thread.
Quoted from Sixtieskid:Very nice! My first bike was a YZ 80 in 76
My first was a Suzuki TM 75 around the same time frame.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:That was the first bike my brother(RIP)got. Same year and everything.
I have thought about doing one of those to recreate the pair just for fun.
That could be an awesome cathartic project. Your attention to detail and your commitment to "your" perfection are admirable. Anything you put your talent to is simply incredible and a work of art.
Damn........I wish I still had my 1975-ish Suzuki TM75. I would send it to you to bring it back to SHOWROOM+. Your abilities go well beyond the world of pinball Christopher. Thank you for sharing.
Christopher,
When you are "dialing down" the clear to become more satin or matte. What are you using to do so in the mixture? Is there some sort of a "matte" product? Beautiful work. And that bike frame, I could comb what hair I have in it.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:I was thinking it would make a great tap handle for a hazy IPA at a dive strip club.
It would fit perfectly on a New England IPA craft beer tap.
Christopher, can you share where you have purchased the windshield cradles from? I have searched online, but so far have not found them. Thank you in advance.
Quoted from PinMonk:China Spray booth has a similar, but still different one:
https://yokistar.en.made-in-china.com/product/JsYncRyHggWe/China-Heavy-Duty-Portable-Automotive-Windshield-Stand.html
But I think Burco is the one you are looking for:
https://burcoinc.com/english/products/windshield-racks/windshield-stand/windshield-prep-stand
Burco is the direction I'm looking for. There also might be a better way to Google to find the proper type than I had been doing. Thank you.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:These might be tough to get.I usually have to jump through hoops to get them myself. They require you are in the business or buy from a retailer but no one ever stocks them.
I could possibly organize a group buy.
https://burcoinc.com/english/products/windshield-racks/windshield-stand/windshield-prep-stand
I'll work a little bit harder on my end here.. I have a friend of mine that runs an auto body shop in my town.. He may have a direction for me. Group buy may be a good possibility though as well if the interest level was there. Thanks
Quoted from DaMoib:https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=684
From IPDB: "Sample (test) games had a drop target in front of the Warehouse entrance. This was removed before full production, but the latest software still supports it."
Thank you. Appreciate the info.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:Hopefully this covers it.
Dirty Harry Pinball 15
Thank you Chris. That video explains it all. Appreciate you taking the time to document all these interesting things.
The Youtube video on the Dirty Harry brought that game to a new level. Absolutely incredible workmanship on all these games Chris. Thank you for taking the extra time to document, video, and explain many of your processes, etc., to us that just gotsta know. Thank you.
You are da man. Damn, your last several months have seen numerous home issues and upgrades. Hopefully you have clear sailing from here on.
Congratulations Christopher. Time does fly. 20 years in with my beautiful wife and 19 year old twins.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:Need to catch up.
Got a massive beer haul.
Thank you!

Grilled out with the boys. [quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
It rained chocolate.
[quoted image]
Turned the leftovers into a tasty chowder.

Great to see the boys, as well as Maverick. And the beer for cripes sake.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:Maverick and I survived the monsoon yesterday.
He is always so alert. [quoted image]
In order to make room for my Whirlwinds. I need to work the room clean.
Repacking a ToM I recently completed but revisited to add more mods. Complete again now with a shaker, lighted buttons, speaker grills ,more brass, gold mirror blades ,separate power supply, mirrored backglass ,led ocd boards ,motorized saw, some fancy mirror thing and a chain on the trunk.
People really seem to want all the bells and whistles these days. I guess I am out of step on that.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Maybe out of step. LOL. But...the customer is always right.....And anything you touch, always comes out like butta!!!!! You can't let it bother you.
