Is that Olson's CFTBL High_End_Pins ? If so - I assume that's my MRS in the bowl? How'd it work?

Is that Olson's CFTBL High_End_Pins ? If so - I assume that's my MRS in the bowl? How'd it work?
Matt
Quoted from High_End_Pins:How many are needed for shadow?
Hey Chris.... Just one..... So instead of a long lever or a piece of plastic extending the original switch... The MRS installs where you see it and wires over and under the playfield back to the original connector... The MRS is connectorized and has a 24"lead.....
Quoted from PinMonk:Can it be mounted below the habitrail? Kind of distracting above. If it was below and behind the post, it would be a lot less of a visual distraction.
PinMonk I honestly can't say that anyone has used the word 'distracting' to describe our Shadow MRS....but judge for yourself in the local restoration (sorry Chris) that was completed yesterday....

Quoted from High_End_Pins:Why are you sorry?"
Ah...let me clarify - I was proactively apologizing for sharing a non-HEP resto pic on your thread....I'll ring you up tomorrow...talk some MRS!
Matt
Quoted from High_End_Pins:You talked me into it. Works great!

You have the POWER!!!!
Now you know why we went into MRS manufacturing!
Matt
Quoted from High_End_Pins:Does yours have a splitter to make the original switch still functional and use the MRS as a confirmation switch/back up?
I ended up making a splitter for this one just so the original switch is still functional seemed like cheap and easy insurance(two switches are better than one) and keeps everything in its place. Probably not practical for all applications but works well on this one.

Clever! We do not have a splitter (although we thought about it a lot) - we've had good success with our MRS' by their lonesome....since our MRS is our own design - we were able to have greater sensitivity from the originals - like the Sega/DE version you have there which tend to max out at 6mm....and we were able to alter the aperture of the detection as well...that said, you've got it down perfectly.....it's the best way to approach the problem.

Chris - Whic Fusor is that...the 142/143 or the slower 152/153 - not sure if there is a strength diff?
Matt
Quoted from High_End_Pins:Prepped and cleared the IJ AY playfield and the Airborne.
Willie has teeth now.

Timing couldn't be better Chris, just picked up an Airborne over the weekend...will be anxious to see it getting put back together as I tear mine down!
Matt
Quoted from ToucanF16:Watching closely
Same...just got done shopping my Airborne....
High_End_Pins Chris - where did you get those flipper buttons?
Quoted from High_End_Pins:Airborne cabinet build almost complete.
[quoted image][quoted image]
Love me some Airborne - hey Chris, did you catch my prior question...where did you get the flipper buttons?
Quoted from High_End_Pins:Installed new targets with anti sway brackets.
Where did you get those Chris?
Quoted from High_End_Pins:Should be ready to put the finishing touches on the airborne. [quoted image]
Chris - Having just picked up an Airborne 2 months ago myself (and really liking the pin)- my first Capcom - care to elaborate your thoughts further on the pin after your restoration efforts thus far...the good, the bad and the ugly....
matt
Thanks Chris....thought I'd share this link to your point about the raising/lowering system....I made a simple jig - worked fantastically - made working on Airborne a breeze!
Matt
Quoted from Bud:Good looking pin for sure
Terribly underrated....I play it nightly - only recently broke 200M - it's hard...
High_End_Pins - Don't forget the rubber on the ejector - I see so many Airborne's without it!
Quoted from High_End_Pins:It was primarily sorting out what was right and what was wrong during assembly.
When you get a game you haven’t seen before that has already been gone through at some point it makes the documentation harder and you might find out that something was previously assembled incorrectly or missing.
No ramps available for the game so I had to go through all my ramp protectors and find good fits to clean up cracked entrances.
Capcom games are just hard to work through because they are so well built and so little parts available means much more time spent on fine details.
Perfect timing - now I can send mine in for you to restore : )
Quoted from HooperTriplett:Adding Airborne to the list of games that I've had no previous interest in but now do thanks to HEP.
Hard to come by (you'll see Pinball Magic's and Breakshot's more available), but an excellent and challenging pin.....
