Lots of local seafood where I live and never heard of anyone eating the shells! Must be either really hungry or really lazy to try that.

I've never seen anyone there eat the head, but the shells and tails are eaten whole with the shrimp. I gave it the college try and quickly decided it was not for me.

Absolutely MASSIVE shrimp fried with the shell removed from the meat, but still attached at the tail. It’s like having a garlic kettle chip with every prawn.
Dammit now I’m starving.

I guess I'm in the minority as I do not mind tge shells. Chew slow and carefully.

Do you laminate the sheet in the cab bottom? It always drives me crazy how the coil dust makes them filthy almost immediately...

The builds go pretty quick it is all the staging before that that takes a while.
When you start with a new cabinet and playfield you can perfect those things and have them fully cured and ready to go before teardown. This turns it into a restore as you go teardown.
When you have to reuse everything and perfect it while torn down it goes a bit slower like the Radical. This is a gut it and deal with everything later type of restoration.
Takes a mix of these various types of projects to keep things flowing around here.
If not for the lower hanging fruit I would starve before I reached the stuff at the top of the tree on the way up if that makes sense.

Been quietly working on my Spirit 1 project.this will serve as the blueprint for the others but with the playfield curing issue it took a slight backseat.
The build up begins.

The dimples on this run are really off on some key features like the kick outs.
There were some missing or a little off on the top but the underside is really not to be trusted.
I am installing all new lamp sockets and reconfiguring some things.

The adjustments are no problem at all for me. I know how things should line up and work. What will cause binding or make for troubled game play.
Anyone that swaps a playfield on this title though really needs to watch everything along the way.
Dimple accuracy is some of the worst I have experienced. Would have almost rather drilled and dimpled myself.
Not a shot at Mirco because I have no idea of the true challenges of making a playfield I only know how to evaluate and troubleshoot what I am given to work with. In this case the dimpling was really not accurate. Nothing more or less than that.

This sounds like an opportunity for someone with access to a bunch of original playfields to CAD up dimple maps for sale or to share. I’m not hinting at you doing it. I have rusty CAD skills, just not the playfield access or time.
I made up a new line filter and cord assembly.

I am always in awe at just how good of a painter Chris is. But when you then realize his level of attention to detail, mechanical ability, and artistic ability I have yet to ever see anyone in this hobby even come close to what he does with these machines.
I know having a machine done by Chris isn't cheap but I am sure he could be making a hell of a lot more money doing custom paint work so you guys having Chris do machines for you just don't realize how lucky you are.
Chris - just keep up the great work. You know just how impressed I have been ever since we talked in person and your work never ceases to amaze me. Hopefully I'll have a chance to stop by and visit in person again sometime in the future but until then just keep doing what you are doing and you will continue to amaze most of us.

Thank you Skip. I really appreciate it. Often I feel like I should have went a different way with this stuff and stayed in the automotive side but the freedom and flat out coolness of pinball has been pretty rewarding over the years.
